We ordered stuffed peppers and Cesar salad for appetizers, chicken piccata and lasagna for mains and added the Alfredo pasta to the piccata. The lasagna tasted really bad as did the Cesar salad, the salad tasted more like a mayonnaise salad than it did a Cesar.. The piccata was barely decent.
The stuffed peppers and the complimentary bread was the only thing that tasted good. I was so disappointed because I had been seeing great things about this place on social media and drove an hour to get there.

La Piazza used to be what we considered the best Italian restaurant in Tulare County. We are sad to say that under new ownership the food quality and service has gone down dramatically. There was a time when we said their gnocchi was some of the best in California. No more. They are clearly cutting corners. The service was nothing to brag about. Too many bad things to list. The atmosphere was drab, no music, no liveliness. Oh, and the bill was astronomical. No alcohol and only three plates with two house salad and a soup was $154! Absolutely not worth it. I will go to Fresno next time I want good Italian food.

Hot tip….get reservations! This place fills up fast for the dinner hours. The salmon is good, but the lemon drop cheesecake is the best!

Family birthday celebration. We always look forward for the chance to come here for dinner. Worth the drive to Tulare from Visalia. The food is excellent, with a wide selection of dishes, more than the usual spaghetti and lasagna fare. The prices are a little higher, but you get what you pay for. Just try to find veal saltimbocca or fresh clams on linguine on a menu else where.

I wish I could give it more stars but the food and service were just not what I was expecting. Firstly the hostess seemed extremely annoyed and off put the second we walked in, as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and my fiance ordered Alfredo gnocchi. She enjoyed her main dish, gave it a 4/5, however the salad was a 0/5. The plate it was served on was warm. The lettuce was very warm and wilted and the croutons tasted like freezer burned stale bread and there was no cheese considering it was a Cesar salad. My spaghetti and meatballs were just bland, lacking most flavor. The only flavor I really could taste was sweetness in the sauce. More like ketchup. For dessert we got a $13 creme brulee that was so tiny. The dish it came in was so shallow because the ceramic was so thick. It looked like a good portion but once you put a spoon in it, it was only about a centimeter deep. Definitely not worth more than $8-$9. The service was lackluster. They ignored us the whole night, except to take our order and check. Overall a very poor experience. Just go somewhere else

The worst thing about this visit is the fact that we have not tried this place sooner. The service is definitely 5 star. The waiter was even very proper and made sure “ladies first”
Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Everything was definitely pricey but what isn’t nowadays. At least it was worth the price.
Definitely going to be back the next time we have a big event!

The bread and butter also the salad made the best dishes. The Marsala chicken was dry and covered in a mushroom gravy, canned mushrooms and no sign of a wine. My wife ordered the Contadina something which was bowtie pasta, chicken and an Alfredo sauce which lacked any Alfredo taste. No parmesan, butter or salt. Just white cream. Dishes took about 25 minutes to come out. I think the waitress forgot the orders because the Marsala plate was cool as was the sautéed vegetables. Service was slow as well. We have been looking for an Italian restaurant since we’ve recently moved to the area and this was not it. We’ll keep looking.

Real good Italian food. Service is quick and friendly. Very pleasant place to get a nice dinner. I had an amazing drink there called the Creme Brule Martini. Highly recommend. Our salads were okay, could have been better and main course was pretty good. Had a caprese before main meal. Flavor was pretty spot on but the part that got me was they forgot to cut off the stem part on the top of the tomato. Not a huge deal but when at a nice restaurant you expect these little things covered. I still believe it is one of the better Italian restaurants in central valley. Recommend you try it out. If you love wine then this is a great place to be.
