my first choice of pho in newmarket definitely
thor house pho is excellent; temperature. portion and quality is the key the beef was so tender not like other one using shoulder or butt cut. soup is tasty and mild very well balanced
the bun bo hue is really good too the spiciness is right on; the pork blood cube a bit gamey taste; skip if u don’t like. the traditional north viet spring roll is so good ; indeed it’s. traditional harmony on the mixture toro and pork

Exceeded all expectations! Tried Vietnamese hot pot for the first time here and it was absolutely amazing. The broth was incredibly flavorful, and all the ingredients were fresh and top-notch. Plus, the house dipping sauce was an absolute bomb! Couldn’t resist buying a jar to take home. Fantastic food at fantastic value. Highly recommend!”

Not sure why they haven’t replaced their sign yet — storefront still says “LAR’S BBQ”. Our experience was mediocre. Came here with the intention of having “pho hot pot”. Waitress was super friendly but couldn’t speak English well enough to understand our questions. We ordered a Golden Soup Vietnamese Hot Pot, but when I asked her whether it came with pho, she couldn’t understand, so we ordered a serving of “noodle” just in case. The noodle that arrived was not pho but another type of round rice noodle. We were so disappointed. As for the “golden soup”, it tasted more like Chinese flavours than Vietnamese herbs & spices. Definitely not authentic, and we won’t be returning.

This is become our to-go place for pho. We like the pho, crispy tofo and pad Thai at this place. The portion is big and the dishes are delicious. We would definitely recommend this place.

Tried the house special beef pho and spring rolls. Food was ok and nothing to rave about. The noodle portion was large but it didn’t taste as good as other viet restaurants that I’m use to.

Way too different from the photos, what I actually got was a small container that’s half empty.
The restaurant isn’t being honest with their promo. It’s very upsetting that my meal was ruined and I had to go out again to find something else to eat. If it’s half price and half the food, it’s fooling customers rather than a promo.
