Olivier De Abreu originaire du pays d’Apt, professionnel de la restauration depuis + 20 ans a repris « La Petite Histoire » en juin 2017 pour en faire un établissement avec une ambiance carte Bistronomique. Le chef Laurent Canton-Bacara qui officie derrière les fourneaux est lui aussi du coin, on l’a connu à Bonnieux et Lacoste mais il a roulé sa toque jusqu’à Mandelieu et Théoule-sur-Mer. Dans la cuisine, des produits frais, un panier de légumes de chez le producteur d’à côté, et tout cela embaume si l’on s’approche du passe-plat. Tous les jours vous trouverez un menu déjeuner diffèrent avec plusieurs choix d’entrées – plats – desserts adaptés aux saisons

Came on a rainy day for lunch and had the best meal of our stay in the Luberon so far! The pasta Dauphiné entree was incredible, as was the entrecôte, but the rest were delicious too. The decor inside wasn’t much to look at, but from photos we saw that the patio is where they usually service when it’s not raining. Service was prompt and polite, the price very fair for 3 course + glass of wine €37.

We ate here on two consecutive nights and had two lovely dinners. The chef and team were friendly and attentive, and everyone obviously enjoyed working there. It was also popular with locals – both families and couples – the friendly mood and good food made this the place to go in town.

The only thing that marred our experience occurred on our second night’s dinner there. There was an additional waiter who had not been there the previous night. In bringing bread to each table, all the other waiters used tongs to take rolls from a bin and put them on a plate. This one waiter not only sneezed frequently into his hands without washing afterwards, but then used his unwashed hands to get the rolls. Disappointing and rather disgusting. Hopefully something can be said to him, since everything else was good.

A great spot 10 mins drive from Apt and also open on Monday evening when many other restaurants are closed. Great host and delicious food. We took the set menu which offered a healthy portion size & was very tasty! Simple decoration inside & terrace area for warmer days. Would definitely recommend.

Wow. What an unexpected find! An absolute delight! The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. We tried a blood sausage appetizer which was so flavorful and interesting. And I had the adorable little raviolis with delicate cream sauce. For entrees, we had the pork and the fish which were both totally devoured. When critics say French Food is the best is the world, this is what they are talking about! It may have been one of the top restaurants in France for me!!!

Nothing extraordinary. The entrée (eggplant with parmesan and tomatoes) was extremely disappointing and we could not eat it. The main dishes were okay, but overall the food is just too expensive especially for the quality provided.
We had the table in front of the kitchen and noticed that a lot of canned food was used for the dishes.
We cannot understand the overall reviews average; perhaps because the areas lacks options…
