There are 2 cafes of La Petite France in Wadhurst High Street. One is on corner of St James’s Square, and other quite near to the community hall (or Commeration Hall), on opposite side of High Street. We visited both cafes this week. The one with outdoor tables is a lovely place for a coffee and a chat, tending to be quieter. Today we also popped in to the corner cafe for a couple of cappuccinos and a dirty latte. They were all delicious . There is some comfortable seating both indoors, and outside in the newer cafe, which is roughly opposite the delicatessen in Wadhurst High Street.

La Petite France is something of a community hub. Coffees are average price, but wide ranging and even include Dirty Chai. A good cafe in the area with reliable staff. They serve coffee and a range of pastries, and cheeses.

It’s great that they’re back again. Today is a great opportunity to stop by and buy some delicious cheese. My favorite is truffle cheese, and wine. And stop for a cup of coffee. We also tried their baguettes, which tasted great and were very fresh. The atmosphere is wonderful with calm French music.
I had a positive experience and would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Little piece of France in Kent! Great atmosphere and lovely service. We came in for a Raclette dinner, which was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

The coffee shop has recently moved up the high street, to make way for a deli using the same branding. The old building was perfect for a cafe – lots of natural light, large windows, and a lively feel. At the new cafe venue, the same great coffee and snacks are served, but the space itself is unfortunately, much less appealing, lacking identity and very generic. It’s early days, but for the first time in years I’ve thought about where else I can have a cosy coffee in Wadhurst.
