Pupusas are not filled very much..and it’s sad that salsa is not made fresh daily, it’s a very simple recipe and I was given a gelatinous old imprinted cup of salsa. I ordered the breakfast plate which tasted fine but the amount of beans given for a takeout order is completely heinous.

First time here in a long time, they recommended me this place again and I mean the food was good, not great just considering that the curtido looked old and brown and I had order pupusas revueltas but all tasted was cheese and I opened it and there wasn’t really any chicharrón, the cheese didn’t taste bad, just disappointed that there wasn’t any chicharrón and I asked to make sure it was the right one and they told me that it probably seemed like there wasn’t any because they probably put very little, but in that case I could’ve just order a cheese one (which I’m not a huge fan of just cheese pupusa) and the curtido was pretty bad, brown and tasted old

First time eating Salvadorian food in Dallas area. This place is cool with a good vibe and they even sell toys. How cool is that? The two girls running the show did an awesome job and handle it like pros. The food took 12 minutes and it tasted awesome. Will be returning to this place for sure.

Great warm black bean dip and salsa with chips.

Delicious and large portion of caldo de res. Add the free salsa to the beef chunks. Yum!

Your typical El Salvador food with big servings and bakery available. I do love the difference in atol, sometimes they offer walnut atol hot drink. This time around I just ordered coffee. The food is hot, tortillas are big and hand made. Menu can be scanned from table or hand held big menu. Female restroom is big, also has changing diaper table. Big televisions usually with a soccer game on. The phone is always ringing as they have many orders being picked up. Parking is available at front, gets pretty full in the evening. Other products sold by cashier, toys or traditional warm blankets.

The food was absolutely delicious. Some of the best pupusas I have had. The fried pork was absolutely delicious as well. Horchata with cashews is a must try. All in all, I would drive to Dallas just to eat here again!

First Timer here. I’m around this area all the time because of work and I was really wanting caldo de res Salvadoreño (Salvadoran style beef soup) but my mom who always makes it for me lives down in Houston and I’m still new In the DFW area. So the craving was surreal and I googled “ Salvadoran food near me” and the two places that seemed to have the best reviews were this and some other place. I called in both places just to see if they had it (since it’s Thursday around 5pm, sometimes places only serve soup during the weekend or run out at earlier hours), both places did indeed have it the only difference is one is $8 the other is almost $13 (the ambience looked fancier In the picture, but I’m not about to drop $13 on a soup just because the restaurant decor is nice) so any who, naturally I chose this place where I’m getting my money’s worth and boy did I get my money’s worth. The soup was HUGE. They were generous with my portion and the soup was hot and it tasted fresh so I loved that. As to the wait, I waited maybe around 20 minutes, to me that’s not bad wait for a soup especially if it’s coming out fresh and good. My waitress was friendly and checked up on me and would keep me updated. This place looks like a total hole in the wall, but that actually is better for me b/c I’m not in there to pay for fancy decor, as long as the place is clean, that’s what matters to me, and the place was clean. The soup was really good, I wouldn’t call in food orgasm but it still was very good and it hit the spot. Definitely coming back. Hopefully once I’m off my keto diet, i can try their Pupusas, pan con gallina (Salvadoran chicken sandwich), pastelitos, yuca con chicharrón, empanada de plátano and the rest of the Salvadoran wonders that I’ve grown up with

First time trying Salvadoran food and boy was I not disappointed! I got the house special (Especialidad de la Casa) and the skirt steak with Argentinian sausage (Carne Asada Con Churrazco) for a meal later.

Takeaways: 1) The portions were HUGE. $15 and $12 each so a big bang for your buck. Each order could be 2 meals. 2) The flavor was excellent. It was a little salty personally, but I have never had Salvadoran food. It was also easily balanced by the generous helpings of rice/beans, guac/salsa, baked potato!?!, and pupusas. 3) Speaking of pupusas they were the cherry on top and a delicious complement. Other reviews said everything is made from scratch and I’m not surprised.

I ordered through UberEats so I can’t comment on the wait time or service. But my deliverer said I was the third order from La Perla that day so that speaks for itself. Definitely would come again and recommend it to others!

I placed an order for pick up. Went and picked up at the time they told me. When I get home there was no curtido for my pupusas. Had to drive 10 minutes back to pick up because how can you eat pupusas without curtido? They were apologetic and I was understanding because things happen. When I finally sit down to eat my Sopa de Mondongo that I also ordered I come to realize they had mixed it with Caldo de Res. Called to ask why it was like that and was told they ran out of Pata for the Sopa de Mondongo so they decided it was a good idea to mix it with Caldo de Res without even asking me if I would be okay with that or if I would like something different. The pupusas were good though.
