We had breakfast here, the food was amazing. We had chorizo enchiladas with red sauce and chilequile with eggs & green sauce. Both the dishes wr amazing. Even their lunch / dinner menu looked amazing. Service is great, ambience is fun.
Only complaint I had was that my hot chocolate was served room temperature and even after asking to make it hot it was just luke warm.. It did not hit the spot.
I stil recommend it for a meal..

Great place for dinner and drinks. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. It’s mostly open air, so you feel like you’re dining on the patio anywhere in the restaurant, but enough foliage you don’t notice the street. By far the best meal we had in Playa del Carmen.

Great evening at Perla. Cozy atmosphere with a great natural vibe feels like you’re in a treehouse. Food was good. I had the catch of the day which was fresh but lacked much flavour and was a small portion. My partner enjoyed his skirt steak which was presented much better and the portion was bigger. Great selection of craft beers and I loved the espresso martini and daiquiri flight i had. Would give them another try.

Best Mohito and best guacamole we had in two weeks in Mexico.
Seafood plate and pork belly are really something to recommend.
If you’re lucky, Ale will be your waitress, although all others are professional and polite.
Everybody speak very good English in this restaurant.

The live music (American) was fantastic. The food missed the mark though. I specifically confirmed if the shrimp was grilled and the server said yes but in the entree, it was not. It was good in taste, but not exactly what I was looking for. The drink (Old Cuban) was pretty good. The pudding (dessert) was great.

The place is beautiful and has live music, it was too loud for me and you can’t talk our have a conversation, but mostly people were excited about it. The food was disappointing, it looks better than it tastes, I got a ceviche, queso fundido and pork, the pork needed more seasoning for sure, I missed the “mexican taste”.

Ate two times while visiting Playa, the chile relleno was outstanding, also seafood dish for sharing was very good, especially the shrimp was amazing, they offered wine glass on promotion but had run out of red, so we had the white, it was good; one of the waiters young guy with glasses was very knowledgeable, gave us lots of good information about the food, the sauces and the typical drinks; we also stopped for breakfast and ordered the chilaquiles, eggs, avocado toast, hot chocolate, coffee, it was good and service was very friendly.

I had a great experience at La Perla!! Fantastic, friendly service without being pushy. Everyone spoke English and the free wi-fi was a plus. I got the ribeye tacos and a side salad and the flavors were great. I had to wait out a rainstorm here and the ambiance was lovely, music not too loud. Plus, best strawberry margarita I’ve ever had!!

I dined alone at La Perla Pixan and had such a fantastic experience. Charlie was an amazing waiter and guided me through the menu, recommending the chicken mole as I wanted to try a more traditional dish. The food was fantastic along with cocktails and I highly recommend anyone in Playa Del Carmen stop by for lunch. Great food + lovely service + relaxing atmosphere + affordable prices = 5 star stop!
