First time in McFarland and needed a quick bite before my appointment out here. Stopped for 3 chicken tacos and the obvious nachos with salsa. GREAT FOOD and number one thing….authentic. Beautiful hole in the wall and wish I could stay for dinner. Maybe next time.

Such a fun night here for dinner. Our servers were super friendly and attentive. They were very busy with almost all their tables filled, but we got seated quickly and got our food out reasonably fast. The quality of the food is very good.

Food was excellent. We ordered take out and the food was ready fast. Ordered enchiladas rojas and the chicken was very tender white meat. The other order was fajitas texanas and that was excellent also, lots of shrimp. We’ll be back.

This is a great addition to McFarland. We’ve been 4 times now. The food is superb! (Love the shrimp fajitas.) I’d say the staff need to improve on their services but I’m hoping as they get more established that will improve naturally.

I recently had lunch with a friend at La Penca, and it was a great experience! The food was fresh, hot, and came out quickly. Everything tasted fantastic. Loved the white cheese sauce on my quesadilla, and we were provided with three different salsas/sauces for the fresh tortillas chips which all had different levels of heat depending on your preference. The service was outstanding—friendly and attentive from start to finish. Even the owner stopped by our table to check in, which made us feel truly welcomed. It’s great to see such a wonderful new restaurant in town! I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing more friends. Highly recommend giving La Penca a try!
