Very good food. I was a little worried because the parking lot always seems empty. However, I decided to try it out and you should too.
This place is a real gem. Everything is homemade.
The Mole sauce is warm and inviting with notes of cinnamon and clove.
The carnitas were incredibly moist, tender and seasoned well.
Margarita’s were very nice as well with the right amount of juice. Not so sour like many restaurants.

My family and I have ordered from here a few times for dinner. I’ve eaten once at the bar, and tried dinner here recently. The tacos are good, and I appreciated how finely chopped the chicken was in the taco. The salsas that they give with the chips taste fresh and homemade. Good margaritas. I like the food at this restaurant better than at Las Mananitas, because here they use spices.

What a hidden gem! I pass by this location regularly but finally stopped today for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. Owner is very nice. Restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. I absolutely will be back again soon to visit. We ordered stuffed poblano peppers, which was absolutely delish and Shrimp Chimichangas. The sauces they give for the chips are perfect along with the guacamole! Stop in and try this local place for good Mexican food tonight!

I have stopped at this Mexican restaurant a couple times prior just for some nachos. Me and my wife decided to stop in for dinner a few days ago. The food and service was perfect! I ordered more food tonight this time – take out – and it was delicious again. Thank you for the great food! Putnam County is lucky to have this restaurant. It’s consistent authentic Mexican cuisine. 5/5 stars!

This was awful. Either we were there on an off night or people don’t like the same kind of Mexican food I ate for years while living in Arizona because the other positive ratings are shocking to read after eating here.
The burrito was smaller than the tacos and the fillings on both the burrito and tacos were amazingly over salted. I said something about the burrito being strange to be wrapped in 2 taco sized tortillas instead of one larger tortilla and was told that’s how they serve it. Had I known how salty the filling was I would have sent it back to order something else when he offered to rewrap the burrito into one tortilla.
The tacos were greasy and weirdly red. I would expect the red from a poor quality chorizo but we order ground beef.
My son got a kids meal that was extremely dry and inedible.
The only saving grace was the chips and salsa were decen, but the price at $60 for 3 meals is criminal for what we were served.
Edited: saying you don’t want to argue and then doing it doesn’t change the food we ate wasn’t good. We sat in the back left corner by what looks like a DJ booth past the bathrooms.
It wasn’t this past week and we were clear with your staff that it wasn’t good. When we sent half of it back uneaten they didn’t seen phased and a bill just over $60 had no comps or alterations to it.

This place is truly a hidden local gem that should be visited if you’ve never been before. This was our first time at this restaurant. Went with a few friends. Sat at the bar. Very relaxed atmosphere. The owner, Giovanni, and the bartender were such a sweethearts. They welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable. We ordered some tequila shots (they have many to choose from) and mojitos. I would recommend the original lime mojito. We ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and nachos supremos. Also got to taste the enchiladas with a mole poblano sauce. The food was delicious and would highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again.

We came here as a detour while driving out of town. Place is amazing and authentic (we are from LI). Only issue is it’s definitely an eat-in place. We ate in the parking lot since we had our pets with us and there wasn’t a garbage can nearby.
Food was so delicious and great portions. Mole with enchiladas wasnt too greasy and had the right amount of sweet. Guacamole was some of the best we have had. Chicken quesadilla and birria tacos were A+. Highly recommend making the trip to come here!

I have been so excited to try this Mexican Restaurant! My best friend had been raving for months about how great the food and drinks were, and La Patrona showed out. The waitresses were so kind and attentive. The chips came out fresh and warm and we were presented with three different salsas. I ordered the Birria tacos with rice and beans and my mom ordered the Al Pastor and chicken, mannnn those Al Pastor tacos were phenomenal and loaded with flavor! My Birria Tacos were also delicious, but I regretted not getting the Al Pastor. I can’t wait to go back!

Was looking for a nice low-key restaurant that has great food other than a chain restaurant being new to the area. Decided to give La Patrona a chance since we were in the mood for tacos, and it blew our expectations away. Pulling up outside seems a bit misleading and makes you think if it’s a good place. But it sure is a diamond in the rough, great drinks, amazing food and have yet to have any bad experience of any sort. This is the 5th time coming La Patrona and they never disappoint. Highly recommend
