This small Hispanic opperated restaurant sits on a quiet street in Elwood, Illinois, just a couple of minutes from Abraham Lincoln Memmorial cemetery.
The store has some unique depictions of Hispanic culture with a small dine-in area. The dine in amenities, while functional, could use a face-lift.
The modest menu has several traditional options with many descriptions in Spanish. Ordering was a bit difficult with a larger party but we managed. Without real knowledge, I would assume they specialize more in take out.
The food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their dish and the prices were reasonable. This what reflects my 4 star rating, If you are ok a basic place to sit and can navigate some Español with the staff, you will enjoy your meal.

Delicious food is pretty busy during lunch. The torta was excellent and so was the chorizo tacos. I enjoyed the chips and salsa and both the salsas green and red were moderately spicy.

Food tastes great, they give you large portions for a good price as well! The staff is super friendly as well! By far my favorite Mexican restaurant around the Elwood Joliet area. Keep up the great work guys and gals!

The Waitress named relis, is absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we instantly felt like family. In 3 weeks that I’ve been eating here about 10 times, did not get dissapointed once, pozole soup was very tasty and burrito with marinated pork was my favourite.
Also I would like to thank everyone working in La Pasadita for being nice, patient and friendly.
I hope I’ll have a chance to revisit it in the future 🙂

Good vibe, Great food with an authentic flavor. Tacos & burritos were great. Tried the pastor and asada. Was not disappointed. Much better than the “ ta canijo “ down the way… reg sized tortillas and good horchata. Recommend maybe calling ahead for orders but other than that I’m glad they opened this spot here in Elwood, will be a go to for my coworkers and myself.

They have the opportunity to be one of the best Mexican joints around, but the problem is they’re never open when they are open. They’re in too much of a rush and I’m only saying these things because I don’t enjoy downing local businesses especially your mom and Pop joint, but they could be doing so much better if they upped their hours if they were more consistent on cookingand if they were a little more fair on their price
