Everyone is so pleasant and professional. The food is well worth the money and very flavorful. Huge portions. I recommend if you are in Tucson it’s an ABSOLUTE must.

This restaurant could be so much more than it is. Right in the middle of dinner sone guy came by mopping the floor with pine scented ammonia. Totally ruined the meal. The guacamole was brown. The jalapeno with my carne asada arrived without being grilled. The rest of the food was ok. Also there was spare furniture stacked upin a booth. But the interior of the restaurant is very nice. It has the potential to be very popular.

This restaurant has been around a long time. I’ve gone there multiple times. It’s offerings are Mexico City style. The food is always very good. The prices are a bit high but the quality and quantity is great. They seem somewhat shorthanded, but the staff tries there very best. The interior hasn’t changed in the 30 years I’ve been going there. The management however is somewhat disengaged. My son and I showed up without a reservation which is not uncommon there. We waited to be seated as required. The supervisor was on the phone and clearly saw us enter. When he ended his conversation he then just left. Later we saw him standing glaring at the kitchen staff which is clearly visible in the restaurant. Eventually we had to track down a waiter to be seated.

What a great spot! Very kind and quick service. The chips and salsa/pico they bring out at the beginning are really good. The veggie fajitas are so much food, I’m not a quitter but I had to take some home as left overs I was so full. Of course not too full for dessert which was also awesome. Nice hefty marg to top it all off? And I love the open concept kitchen. Definitely recommend this spot

Went with the family from out of town yesterday. It’s a great traditionally feeling Mexican place with friendly and accommodating staff quick service and an excellent ambiance. Great starter salsa an chips, the tomatillo was fantastic I wish they’d sent you home with a bottle. The chips were also quite fresh and delicious. Then the highlight of the visit, they have a chimichanga covered in jalapeno cream cheese sauce, it’s the closest thing we’ve had to Pollo Fundito since we left Phoenix a few years ago. The rice and beans were great, my only criticism was that even the double rice I ordered wasn’t nearly enough of the fantastic side dish! We’ll definitely visit again, hopefully soon!

The food here is a little different than most Mexican restaurants in town, and it is a great place if you love cheese. I do love cheese. Any restaurant that serves a plate of melted cheese (queso fundido) is 5 stars in my book!

I love this place! I have a bad dairy and wheat allergy plus Im celiac. I order the steak fajitas with corn tortillas. They are fabulous! I dont get sick at the restuarant on Speedway in Tucson, however the Marana restuarant I get really sick if I eat there.

The frijoles are flavorless, mealy and dry. The carne, also flavorless and unseasoned. I brought both home and seasoned correctly. A block of melted cheese and five taco sized flour tortillas is not worth $30, even with overhead and profit thrown in. Two subpar tacos, with dry rice and beans for $20ish is absurd, especially when there was one piece of cilantro leaf and four pieces of diced onion to go on two tacos. What’s up with that pico de gallo? Tasted like a Fry’s jalapeno – no heat, no flavor. More proof they cater to a different crowd than you’d find at something like St. Mary’s or Mi Nidito or even El Sur. But as an old school Tucsonian, I know this isn’t where you go for Mexican food. Snowbirds and other visitors love it, they don’t know any better. It’s definitely a tourist spot. The servers were awesome. The lighting at most tables was awful. Either so bright that you’re blinded while dining or so dark there’s no way even a 15-year-old could see the menu.
