Retrozombie’s Readings w/Tiffany
NO NEVER AGAIN!!!!! 1 hour later and NO FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! We saw all the white people being served that walked in after us. We are from Boyle Heights, Latinos, and we were NOT served! The waitress took our paper order in an hour later to the kitchen we heard her in Spanish BARELY TAKE THE ORDER IN, after we asked where is our food. We saw people that arrived after us, getting all their food. The place was not packed. Everyone that arrived after us about 15-30 minutes later then us, got their food. We got coffee and soup and two tins of chips. The soup was good but tiny bowl of food. When we arrived people were already sitting and eating their food so there was no orders that were needing to be rushed. So when we placed our order they should have started making the food right? We saw plenty of people come in way after us maybe 10-15 minutes later and they got their food and everybody was eating in front of us and we were wondering where was our food we were very hungry! I have diabetes so I needed to eat something right away. Some of the other waitresses were a little nervous as to why we were not getting food and started asking each other hey where is their food and one of the waitresses came up to us and said hey did you get your food we said no they kept refilling our water and our coffee and our salsa and our chips but we were not getting any food. We spoke with the waitresses in Spanish. We were very nice and polite about asking for our food. As Latinos me and my husband were just ashamed to see Raza not serving Raza. My hands started to shake due to my health problems, I really needed the food, so I just left with my husband, an hour and 15 minutes later, because our food wasn’t even started. That was beyond rude and terrible service! There was no air conditioning, the place was so hot inside, the floors looked a little dirty. This has got to be the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant in my life! If you know me you will see my Google reviews as I have a lot of people that take a look at my Google reviews. I wish that I could just give it zero stars but it made me give at least one star. I’m just so ashamed as a Latino person to even experience this! If you came to the review section, just don’t go, pick somewhere else to eat.

The pastor taco was hands down the BEST taco I’ve ever had. Put the shredded lettuce, guacamole and a bit of hot sauce with some lime. Ask for cilantro and onions on it – would say do the corn tortilla.
Thank me later.

I wish I’d tried this spot sooner! It’s a little hard to notice from the street but inside it is super cute with paintings, lights and decorations everywhere. The service is friendly and it feels like you’re at home. Very comfortable and low key. The food is well priced and delicious. We were greeted with chips and shared the azteca molcajete for two which came with soups and individual plates of rice and beans along with the molcajete of meats, panela, and nopales with a delicious sauce. The tortillas were delicious, we had corn, but there is a choice of flour as well. It was a really good value for $41.95 considering we both left full and with left overs. We had beer and it seems like it’s very/wine, no spirits. The only thing that would make it better is some music, but there are musicians that come through and ask if you’d like something to be played. We were happy to check it out and support a local business with almost 50 years! I will be back.

My family and I have been coming here throughout the years and it’s always been a decent place. HOWEVER, unfortunately I decided to go there for lunch with my family on January 1st and the experience was not pleasant we waited 1 hour to get our food served. The server had a bit of an attitude and the quality of our food was very poor
So sad I really do not think I will visit this place again. I hope management reads this and makes some changes. Bummer

Such a great restaurant to come and eat that make hand made tortillas, the food is super delicious and always have enough to share with another person. Always hot. Gives you a side soup to eat as you wait, they also give you some good chips and salsa to eat as well. The salsa is kind of spicy though. There is no refills on drinks but all the drinks are great. Staff are nice and kind and always check up on you a lot if you need anything. The place is beautiful and welcoming with so much decoration. I love comingbhere at night for dim it looks and so romantic with hardly any lights. Definitely come here.

Great ambiance and very colorful. The food and service are respectable. I appreciate having the opportunity to eat and enjoy lunch here. I’m sure it’s more busy during the weekends but I went on a calm friday afternoon.

I feel disappointed about the way the service is at this place, I was served enchiladas with spoiled shredded chicken, and I told the waitress about the issue, she said unfortunately she can’t do nothing about it, That there was Noone in charge in the store to do something about it. So I still got billed and walked out with only a soup on my stomach and a bad feeling of probably getting stomach ache after this. Waitress did agree that the chicken was bad. Hopefully, they stopped serving, but who knows good luck every one

This place it pretty good. Not too much selection on the menu as far as burritos and enchiladas go. But they definitely specialize in authentic mexican food. There is a 1 dollar charge if you ask for their breakfast menu(which is pretty crazy). Also it’s pretty pricey. Fyi they have parking in the back of the resturant.
