The atmosphere is never friendly. I don’t care as long as the food is good. I would come here x2-3 a week I was a loyal customer. (Only nice person was the mulata in the front) anywho out of all the times I come here, this is the second time I had to return food due to raw tostones (not crunchy at all soft and had to eat like jerky) i didn’t return anything else i ordered simply the side dish I asked to be remade, they gave me attitude and a stank face and had me wait 35 minutes for a new order of tostones by than my other food is cold. They brought out the new batch while it’s hot also soft meaning the oil is too hot so only the outside is cooking but the inside remains raw. So I asked for my money back politely (only for the tonstones. I kept my other food even though they had me waiting 40 minutes) and at first they refused bc I quote “it’s not fair” after ten minutes debating I got my money back. Whole time the people in the back were giving me dirty looks, I heard them make slick remarks and laugh. The same people that always gives dirty looks and never greets with a smile unless you’re a personal friend or Colombian. Store is always empty regardless and I see why.
EDIT: don’t delete your response let everyone know how you really feel about one of your regulars!

Great value. My son and I having a full lunch that was so tasty for $25. This included two empanadas, drinks, enormous bandeja Paisa and an excellent fish fillet in cream sauce. The place to place is not big and the folks can get a bit overwhelmed but that’s the price you pay when you have really good food and a very chill atmosphere. If you like Colombian food you love this place. If you don’t like Colombian food, it will be a hopeless situation.

They lost a loyal customer today. They treated my wife ill mannered when she kindly asked for her food to be fully cooked. My chicharrón was rubbery, and tostones were soft and under fried I would’ve loved to come back, but considering how unprofessional and unpleasant they handled a simple request due to under cooked food repels me. My wife has personally reported bugs by the snack section in private out of respect and has looked out for this small business. They have messed up our food one time prior but we never cared considering we have eaten here easily over 40 times since we live down the street. When we reported the under cooked food for the second time they threw in our face that we are the only people that have complained and returned food (even though these reviews imply otherwise). Very disappointed considering this was our munchies spot and how unprofessional and rude they responded to my family. Not family friendly, has bugs, can’t handle feedback even if food isn’t cooked.

I enjoy leaving good reviews so it bothers me when I have to leave a not so good one. My server was great, un amor. He forgot some of my order but who cares we are human. But the limon podrio? Is just disrespectful. My lime taste disgusting And the burnt fries ni se diga. You guys have the space to run a hell of a business. Please do better. The container the salsa is in (for the empanadas) needs to be replaced. It looks like it’s lived a long life which made it hard for me to even want any. Plus with covid I think it’s disgusting that restaurants still have a shared container with salsa for clients to all eat out of. Believe it or not, not everyone has common sense and ppl double dip. O le meten los dedos, just gross period. Get the little plastic containers and serve the salsa individually like everyone else does it. Thank you ❤️

A friend and I were curious to see if there was any Colombian restaurant in the homestead area and we googled Colombian restaurants near me and were brought to La Parilla Latina. My friend ordered a chicken soup (not sancocho de gallina, they had that as well but she wanted regular chicken soup) and an empanada, I ordered a 16oz sancocho de costilla and a bandeja paisa. We didn’t have to wait long which was nice since we were hungry, but it did seem like my dish was thrown together pretty quickly. I enjoyed the food, the bandeja comes with carne asada which had a sweet flavoring to it, and not the carne en polvo which traditionally is part of the dish. It was moderately priced and the service was friendly in a home like manner, as if we were in someone’s home and happen to pop in for lunch. The restaurant was warm but not unreasonable so for others who reviewed and complained about the AC, it IS TOLERABLE! they have an assortment of typical Colombian staples as picos, chocolatinas Jet and other candies and pastries. My friend and I enjoyed the food and we would definitely come back if we are in the area.

I am going to be honest I was very impressed with the restaurant because of the amount of Colombian products they have to sell. Makes you feel back in Colombia. But when it comes to the food, I was deeply upset. I ordered a “Marranita” which is from my hometown in Cali. They served it to me Raw in Spanish “Crudo”. Unacceptable, specially when you trying to impress your family. On another note I ordered an Entraña for my father and 30 mins later the people in the kitchen said they never knew about that order. The buñelos were served Cold on top of that. One thing I will say it was not the waitress fault which is as a young Cuban lady very cool that helped us out. I give her a 10/10 for her service but the people in the kitchen “Forget About It”. Unacceptable and Horrible Service in the kitchen.
