Such a nice little find! When you walk in, on the right are treys and tongs for you to grab what you like! The atmosphere was very laid back and the service was good.

The only low of this place were red meat tamales, dry and not as much flavor as I would like.

Everything else we had was excellent.

The masa was great. It wasn’t dry and even the next day still had good texture. The green chile was flavorful and really good.

The doughnuts were great. The little piggies were fantastic. The concha’s were also delicious. The mangonada was tart with a little bit of heat.

The bollilos rellenos (cheese and chorizo) were well balanced and so very good. They have a red salsa and it’s one of the best I have had. It’s well balanced and is pretty spicy on the back end. It doesn’t hit you right away.

The Flan was absolutely wonderful!

The pecan cinnamon roll was one of the best cinnamon rolls I have had.

We will definitely be back to try more!

We’ve been going here for yeeeears, it’s always been great. Recently we noticed a difference in taste and quality with the tamales. Every time we unwrap them they’d fall apart immediately, the masa doesn’t hold up. We got tamales de rajas this week and the cheese tasted very sour with a very strong smell. A few were still frozen in some parts. The pan dulce is still soooo so good and it’s our favorite part of this place. The service is great too.

First off, it looked like the person at the register did not want to serve me. Then she gave me a cold, dry tamales. No taste. Thank goodness I only purchased one to sample.

Like a lot of places they have taken a small step backwards over the last few years. I still go there really enjoy the jalapeño bread, the tamales are some what spicy but really good. Lots of fresh bread, worth a visit. Maybe I’ll see you there…lol…….my goodness look at this, there jalapeños, cream cheese bread added in chorizo sausage, spectacularly fantastic …lol its good. Look at the size crazy, satisfying for sure grab a champarado and your set. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT.

I have been for the tamales several times.
I’m greeted, helped and the food is packaged with care. 10/10 recommend the tamales.
More specifically, I came to leave a review to let folks know that I’m bi-racial & I speak fine Spanish. I’ve both come in and ordered speaking only English and was treated well. I came in and spoke Spanish & was treated the same. For those in the reviews supposing that they’re being treated poorly because of their color or language. Maybe it’s you.

This place brought old memories of my childhood in Mexico. My son was craving Mexican sweet bread. (Specifically.. Los marranitos, the little piggies and I got myself some churros) customer service was excellent, bread was delicious. Go check it out.

please support them, the only complaint i have is that the champurrado they made this year is not good it’s watered down and overpriced i’ve been coming here for years and i’m disappointed they’ve decided to engage in such shady practices other then that they’re awesome, i’m just butt hurt cuz i’ve been waiting all summer for this champurrado cuz i always like to get it and like i said overpriced and severely watered down, muy malo 🙁
