Tried this place last night after years of avoiding. New owners and new flavor, excellent experience. We had five different dishes and all were great. Definitely our good to Mexicans seafood spot from now on.

La Palapa has been our favorite restaurant for years, but they’re under new management now. We had a disappointing dinner this evening.

Got there about 5:00 midweek, grabbed a table and checked the menu. All our old favorites were still there, so we ordered. Our meal came, but no napkins, no forks, no sauces, and half my order was missing ( and it never showed up).
There were only two other couples there so I know the staff wasn’t overworked.

My wife’s dish was ok, but mine was tasteless…tasteless beef, thin tasteless sauce. Very disappointing. We mentioned to the waitress that we were missing part of my order but it never showed up.

They’re nice people but they’re in a competitive market and really need to up their game.

Food is delicious. We are not from the area. We decided to stop by on our way home and I wanted to try this place. I am not disappointed the aguachiles, camarones empanizados y tacos de camaron were on point. Definitely coming back when we are in the area.

This food is very bland. I ordered an Horchata and it taste just like a cup of milk no sweetness too it and kinda plastic-y. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and Chile gueritos and noticed that the shrimp still had the black string in them. Do they even wash and clean out the shrimp? Quality of food should not be that pricey. I will not be ordering from them again. Waste of money and not worth getting food contaminated

Good food even though one of us got sick from it. But maybe it was just a bad plate.

The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant was clean. The more expensive seafood platter was mostly cucumber and onion with only a few pieces of seafood. However the fish ceviche and carne asada taco were very well served. The lemonade is fresh squeezed, very good. Our waitress was friendly, courteous. However, she didn’t really check on us and only returned to our table to pick up our plates and by that time we had been done with our meal for close to 10 minutes. Some customers may prefer it that way, but I like to be offered water or another drink if we are done with our drink, or offered a dessert. It was not busy. Only 3-4 tables and 2 waitresses.
