We had a fantastic experience at La Pagua! I tried the Taco de lengua and a Pork pupusa, and both were absolutely incredible. The flavors were authentic and fresh—just what I was hoping for. My husband had the pork tacos, and he couldn’t stop raving about how delicious they were. We also ordered the house margaritas. The chips and salsa were a great start to the meal, really fresh and full of flavor.

What truly made the experience even better was our server. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The service was top-notch, which can sometimes be just as important as the food itself! La Pagua really delivered on all fronts, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit!

They used to be good food when they where a lil restaurant next to basking and robins, wish i had read the reviews before goin, my shrimp soup was just a tomato soup with 5 shrimps on it, kid you not!! The rice that came with soup tasted like came from a pre made bag, food taste was so bad, my friend had a torta that came with hard bread like a poorboy meat tasteless and rice from a bag as well, it was a late lunch so it was only our table, waiter was not bad but they where not busy! Total bill for 2 meals $50 plus tip! Never goin back there, no wonder la papa loca is taking al their business, food is better and more reasonably priced!

Food was Great and authentic. The wait time for food was long but worth it. The portions were very big! My party of 3 did the meal deal for 2 and we still had food left over. Very reasonable prices and staff was fast. The roasted whole onions were amazing

I’ve learned to temper my expectations when dining on Mexican food outside of Texas. And while La Pugua isn’t the worst I’ve had, it’s also not worth a repeat visit. Salsa was extremely bland. Basically tomatoes and onions, maybe garlic. No cilantro and definitely no type of peppers or spice of any kind. My cheese enchiladas were acceptable, but the beans were generic. More than likely from a can. And if they weren’t from a can, then they need to reevaluate their recipe. Rice….again…average at best.

I’ve always enjoyed their quesadillas. They are very good. However, the service I received today was subpar. I ordered a quesadilla, a large queso, and asked for an additional bag of chips. Chips and salsa are complementary to any order. I often order an extra bag of chips, so that will have enough, which I’m normally charged about $1.50. The waitress charged me five dollars for an extra chips and salsa. I tried to explain that I just wanted an extra bag of chips and not an extra salsa. We went back-and-forth for four or five minutes with her refusing to just charge me for a bag of chips, claiming that that is not possible, even though I do it all of the time. She finally went to the back, and another lady came up and brought me a second bag of chips for a dollar. In addition, when I left the restaurant, my large queso ($10) was a tiny cup that was only half full (pictured below). Also, my quesadilla was chicken and steak instead of the steak and shrimp that I ordered.

Service definitely needs some improvement.

Atmosphere was nice. Friendly staff. Prices could be a little lower to compete with other area Mexican restaurants. We enjoyed our food.

There’s a wide variety of choices. I like the tacos here. If Tex Mex is your jam they have a lot of that here too. It wasn’t crowded and service was good.

Where do I begin? This was my first time coming to this restaurant so I was excited to finally try it. Upon walking in there was one other customer inside and yet it took a few minutes for me to be greeted and seated. Next… I was brought chips and salsa. I have never in my entire life had a bad salsa from a restaurant. I’ve had mediocre but this was bad! It tasted chemical and so did the chips. I got a burrito and the sauce and cheese tasted once again chemical… I almost left after the bad salsa honestly. It was that bad. Almost like someone mixed dirty dish water or a cleaning product with the food. Every time I got a whiff of the food it made me physically feel sick. I usually don’t complain or write bad reviews but this was just overall a bad experience. The girl was nice so I’ll give them that. But the food- which is why we go to restaurants- was awful.
