This apparently is the only way I can communicate with you even though I would prefer not to voice this openly. Regardless, my wife and I arrived at approximately 6 Pm and it was raining and we were told there would be a wait for a party of 2. We said we would wait at the bar but we’re informed that the bar was only for customers who would be eating at the bar. We then agreed, reluctantly, to go to the bar for our dinner. A few minutes later another couple came up to the bar with the same intent to have a drink waiting for a table. When they were told about your rule they managed to persuade the staff to let them wait there for their table along with another couple they were waiting for. They were eventually seated.
This was not a way to treat a customer. We paid up and left without ordering a meal. This visit rated no stars.
LA Olla is one of our favorite restaurants but I will think twice before I take my wife there again.

** Thanks for your response but even though I was not looking forward to eating at the bar which is not conducive to comfortable dining my real complaint was the other couple being accommodated. I don’t understand what made them better than my wife and I. Had that not happened we would have had our meal there.

I am so glad we found this place today. The food was amazing and our waitress was great. Unfortunately there is no sign facing the street so can easily pass off as a doctor’s office. The place is not too big. But that’s okay it has a more relaxed family environment. I had the chicken flautas and the picture doesn’t do justice they were huge and I had to use my fork . There was also some type of sauce under the guacamole that gave a little sweet and savory to the dish. I can’t wait to Go back and try more dishes!

Let’s start with the horchata (see photo) it was served in a small cocktail glass and was over filled with ice for $4.50 with no refills. With what was in the glass I feel I paid $1.00 an ounce. For dinner I had Manchego shrimp for $26.99. there were only 5 shrimp. There was a surf and turf that had 3 shrimp and carne asada for $22.99 that may have been a better option. My partner had a carnitas wrap which was just ok. We had to ask for a refill of the chips. Our waitress disappeared from when she took out order to when we got our food.

Fun small Mexican diner. The jalepen̈o margarita was spicy and tasty. Service was friendly and quick. Food wasn’t bad, but not as spicy as I like for Mexican food. Chips and salsa were free, as were the refills.

We came for an early dinner and so we practically had the restaurant to ourselves. Food was nicely plated and at the right temperature. The calabacita side was excellent. Salsa was fresh and piquant. Service was friendly and efficient. They offer combination plates in 2 sizes. A good value.

Four of us arrived around 4:00PM on a Monday in April, and it wasn’t too busy. Typical décor you would find in a Mexican restaurant. We were greeted quickly and taken to a table. A wait person quickly brought chips and salsa. We each ordered one of their house margaritas which were just ok. They could have used more tequila because it mainly tasted like lime mix. The waitress confused two of our orders. One of them was supposed to be enchiladas but ended up a burrito. The other was supposed to be one chicken enchilada and one cheese which ended up with 2 chicken enchiladas and one cheese (which we were charged for). We just ate what we got rather than make a big deal out of it because we were hungry! The servings are generous, and we all enjoyed our meals and the chips and salsa. The calabacitas were tasty and something new for us. Most of us took leftovers home. We would come again but trade the margaritas for beer – and make sure they got the order right!

Had a great meal here, lots of good options and good flexibility on portion sizes! We enjoyed fried ground beef tacos and a queso fundito, very authentic and delicious! Service was very friendly and they handled bigger parties well. I am excited to go back and try more of the menu, I see it being a staple!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at La Olla. I order flautas. They were made with flour tortillas. They looked more like chimichangas. They were still delicious.

We have been coming here for years and I should’ve reviewed this place already because this place is the best authentic Mexican food in this town. The service is always friendly and fast. We came in for lunch and tried the elote dip appetizer, which was delicious. We always get the combination plates just to get extra food just for leftovers at home. We love this place and always recommend this place to anyone who comes into town and wants great Mexican food.
