I saw how they are treating their new worker, I belive she is new because we haven’t seen her there and we go there all the time. Honestly it was disgusting how they were treating it almost made me want to cry how awful they are to her and make her do all of the work she seems like a very nice person and she always has a smile on her face. We had a chance to talk to her saw that she was crying and she told us that she needs this job she is a single mother and by the looks of it she is an amazing worker yall have to do better.

We stopped by for a to go order. There is NO drive through. It was brunch time for us after a long morning. We ordered tacos and tamales . The order on the receipt said burritos so I was very interested in what the “tacos” would look like. From homemade tortillas both corn and flour to THE BEST BARBACOA de lengua in GrandPrairie. You MUST go by to give it a try. Pricing is very reasonable and I plan on trying more dishes and sit in to eat there eventually. The tamales we ordered were chicken, they were thick and the chicken is chunky. They were a bit dry, but I can look past it with additional salsa. They are made with green salsa. I like spicy and these have a delayed kick to them, I would say medium spice.

It’s great authentic food. Tortillas were very good.
They have big booths for larger groups to sit together.

Walked in no one bothered to help us. Saw me and my wife waiting and the staff did everything to ignore us. Didnt even get acknowledged on the way out. Staff just continued talking to other spanish speakers and pretended we didnt exist. They clearly didnt treat us like we were welcomed. Do not spend money at this racist establishment.

Customer service was great! I swung by to get some tamales. They have pork, chicken, and queso con rajas. I had the chicken ones and the queso con rajas, 6/10. They were nice in size but the masa (dough) was undercooked. I had to try their flan. It claims to be the best in town. I won’t be having flan in Grand Prairie again, 4 out 10. On a good note they have drinks imported from Mexico; Boing, Jumex, and coke, just to name a few!

P.S. If you swing by and disagree about the tamales, please post. I am hoping this was just that one bad batch.

I have lived nearby for 15 years. Unfortunately, the first and only time I’ve visited was 6:52pm on a Thursday. I go inside to be told the cook has to go so they are closed. Yes, the open sign in the window was lit. Will I return? Probably not. They close too early. The advertised hours say they close at 7pm despite me being turned away before then.

First time at Nueva Puntada and it was a fair experience. I got a Chicarrón Torta. The best part of the torta was the meat and bread. The fruit (Avocado) was not ripe enough to serve and it was not pleasant to eat with the torta. The quesadilla plate was saran wrapped which I believe could all be put in a takeout tray just like the torta. Also grabbed a half dozen tamales which were pretty fair. The maza was hard textured versus soft textured. Would not recommend tamales from here. Thank you, La Nueva Puntada.

I used to go here for YEARS. The food and the people are just not what is was before. The barbacoa had too many bay leaves and the tamales were testeless an dry.

I was there on 4/20/2025. I have always always loved the food. But the customer service on this day was horrible. I had never experienced anything like that at this place. He was rude to customers and also mean to the young boy at the cash register. The way he spoke to me and got upset when I told him my order was wrong. He was rude so I turned to the young boy and his attitude was totally different. I usually don’t complain or pay attention to little things but this guy was rude and very unpleasant.
