Yadira was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly kind, polite, and professional, always smiling and making us feel genuinely welcome. She took the time to talk with us and share insights about her culture when we asked, which made the experience even more special and personal.
The food was excellent across the board. We especially loved the fried plantains, the chicken and beef empanadas, and the avocado salad, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
Yadira truly elevated our dining experience with her warm personality and outstanding service. Highly recommended, and we would definitely come back again, and this is the second time by the way!
He had the Cubano sandwich – it had just the right proportions of ham, roasted pork and Swiss cheese, tangy pickles and a generous swipe of mustard, served on Cuban bread that was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
I had Mi Pueblo – a breakfast dish with lechon asado (marinated roast pork), rice, black beans, avocado slices and a fried egg on top. It was delicious!
Our server, Mateo, was attentive, charming and delightful- we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him.
Excellent food, great customer service and reasonable prices! Couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommended!
Our server Yadira was absolutely amazing — one of the friendliest and most genuine waiters I’ve ever met. She made us feel right at home and gave great recommendations. The manager even surprised us with a free flan, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture.
I ordered the Braised Flank Steak (Vaca Frita a la Campesina) — it was unbelievably tender and full of flavor, one of the best Cuban dishes I’ve ever had. My wife ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon, drenched in glorious melted cheese and surrounded by a moat of crispy fries — pure perfection.
The bar has a big variety of drinks to choose from, making it a perfect spot for both dinner and cocktails.
If you’re in Miami or South Beach looking for authentic Cuban food, friendly service, and a relaxed, beautiful setting — La Mulata is a must-visit!
From the moment we walked in, the difference was clear. The servers were genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. Not rushed. Not dismissive. Just polished, welcoming, and on point. The hospitality alone set the tone for the night. Our waitress Falvia was SUPERB!! Just wow! 5 Ave serve!
The vibe? Elevated Cuban elegance. Classy live-style music, beautiful ambiance, grown energy. It feels refined without losing authenticity. It’s what you expect when you want the full experience — not just dinner.
Now let’s talk FOOD.
The rice and beans had noticeably more flavor than the competition. Perfectly seasoned, rich, and layered — you can taste the love in it. It doesn’t feel basic. It feels intentional.
The red snapper? Absolutely amazing. Fresh, perfectly cooked, seasoned beautifully — flaky, flavorful, and done with precision.
And the pernil… OMG. Tender, juicy, packed with flavor. That slow-roasted perfection that melts apart and makes you close your eyes mid-bite. No dryness. No shortcuts. Just real Cuban cooking done right.
And the flan? To die for. Creamy, silky, rich — the kind of dessert you remember the next day.
Here’s the part that shocked me: the prices are the SAME as across the street. Same range. Completely elevated experience.
La Mulata is what happens when authentic Cuban cuisine meets class, flavor, and true hospitality.
The grilled steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and full of flavor, with sautéed onions that complemented it very well. The rice and black beans were spot on, and the house salsa added a nice, fresh kick.
The salad with avocado was crisp and refreshing, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh.
The seafood platter was the real highlight—amazing presentation and incredible taste. The lobster was rich and buttery, the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and grilled, and everything was balanced with just the right amount of herbs, garlic, and citrus. You can tell real care goes into the cooking here.
Great quality, generous portions, and excellent attention to detail. Definitely coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates well-prepared food.
Service was great and it has a nice sidewalk seating area, as well a really cool throwback inside bar and seating.
You will get some good cuban food here.
