Food was great. It really has that homemade taste. If you go try the pistachio ricotta cake it was AMAZING!! The pastas also superb they were also super busy for Christmas Eve but that didn’t change the taste at all

La Mucca Ballerina absolutely exceeded my expectations. The meal started with their incredible bread—fluffy on the inside, perfectly crunchy on the outside, and honestly some of the best I’ve had.
Then came the main dishes. The steak with blueberry sauce was such a pleasant surprise—perfectly cooked and balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. And the braised veal? Truly to die for. Melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich, comforting flavor in every bite.

Everything about this place was great. The waitress was very friendly and took good care of us. She was from Italy and was very engaging when our friends were talking about going to Italy. All the food was so fresh and tasty. It was probably the best lasagna I have ever had. The portions were big making it a good value for our money.

We had an early 5:30 reservation the night before Valentines day, we sat outside comfortably. Our server was very attentive. The calamari was excellent, as was the bread. We had the eggplant parmesan and the homemade sausages and pasta. Excellent.
The disappointing part comes in that we had looked at the menu the night before and both landed on the lobster ravioli plate, reviews were excellent on it. Mind you, ordering at 5:30 and told that there isn’t any. Cannot figure how that is possible. Really disappointed, slightly soured an otherwise great experience

Mario and Paulo make a visit to this rustic unpretentious and authentic Roman spot as good as the food! Handmade pastas, great wine list, amazing pizza so light it floats in your mouth. Excellent ingredients and great care for diner experience. Joy is what they create here. Pure joy!

Grabbed a quick lunch when we are downtown Sarasota with a real estate agent. I had pizza, my husband had the lentil soup and a burrata sandwhich and the agent had a huge sandwhich. My pizza was delish and everything else was inhaled. My pizza was thin crust pepperoni which I enjoy. The place is not so busy at lunch and we had no wait time. Waiter was helpful and prompt. I cant wait to try the pastas next time!!!
