Reviews
Prices are fair.
Service is friendly.
Atmosphere: the music doesn’t have to be so loud that I can’t hear my partner across the table from me.
Other than that everything is great.
You’re welcomed with complimentary chips and salsa (so fresh!), and while the beans are ordered separately, they’re definitely worth adding on.
The ambience is festive and lively—exactly what you want from a great Mexican restaurant. If someone in your group is celebrating a birthday, get ready for the staff to sing and make it memorable!
Dinner time gets packed, but the restaurant is big and their service is incredibly fast, so the wait never feels like an issue.
If you want bold flavors, generous portions, and that warm “welcome back” feeling every time you walk in, La Mojarra is the place. We keep coming back—and for good reason!
The sushi with the steak, cream cheese, shrimp, bacon etc. (can’t remember the name) is excellent. Dropped a star from 5 to 4 only because the waitress got an order wrong and the gentleman who was helping another gentleman try and take over for the waitress, was making faces at the other gentleman when speaking to my SIL and Husband about what he had asked for.
It made it awkward and as a patron, I shouldn’t have to feel like it’s my job to keep the peace and defuse a situation like that.
The waitress was confused.
My husband did not do anything wrong but it appeared like: “the customer is always right” mentality lacked hard in this moment.
Now some customers ARE WRONG, but my SIL and husband were not wrong.
It was far too over the top drama, for an order a whole other server took wrong.
With that taken care of, the rest of the evening was nice and our family enjoyed each other .
We celebrated my Mamma’s 72nd Birthday and enjoyed special, very much needed, time all together.
All in all a wonderful night.
Service was equally impressive. Our server delivered warmth and professionalism, making the experience feel elevated without losing its authenticity.
This is a spot that deserves attention, and one I’d confidently recommend for anyone looking to enjoy seafood with true Mexican flavor.
The outside might not catch your eye, but inside, it’s full of life with rich aromas and vibrant decor. Service is top-notch; our waitress was friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed.
Food and Drinks
The menu entices with photos and an array of options. Here’s what we ordered:
Ceviche Tropical: A hit! Loaded with shrimp, mango, cucumber, topped with cilantro and red onion, served with tostadas and crackers. Fresh and flavorful, it was the perfect appetizer.
Salmon Al Chef: My daughter’s choice, this salmon dish with teriyaki sauce, fried rice, and vegetables had a balanced, hearty flavor without overpowering the fish.
Burrito Pecheron: My wife loved this burrito filled with tender, seasoned meat. Not overly spicy, but packed with flavor, complemented by a rich salsa.
Cielo Mar y Tierra: My favorite—a combination of marinated steak, chicken, and shrimp. The chicken was tender, the steak flavorful, and the shrimp perfectly grilled and pre-split for easy eating.
Flan: Authentic and creamy, reminiscent of childhood treats.
Lava Chocolate S’mores: Rich and indulgent, though we were too full to finish.
The atmosphere here is energetic and inviting. With ample seating for groups, it’s a great spot for gatherings. The decor is lively, and the bathrooms were clean and aligned with the restaurant’s casual charm.
Ideal for seafood and Mexican food lovers, families, and friends looking for a relaxed, flavorful meal. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming vibe make this a must-visit.
The pricing felt fair, especially given the quality and freshness of the dishes. No hidden fees, and the meal was worth every bite. La Mojarra Loca is well worth a return visit!
