This place is sooooo good! I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajita dinner and it did not Dissappoint! you can tell the chips here are homemade fresh and delicious. The quality is out of this world and the portion sizing for the price is impeccable. This is by far one of my favorite places here in Champaign!

Very easy 5 star review! Got a pick up order. Veggie gorditas. Came out quickly and ended up being one of the best Mexican meals I’ve ever had! All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The red and green salsas were both excellent! I will be eating here more often, that’s for sure!

Edit2: this is still our favorite place in town after dozens of visits. You’re missing out if you don’t at least try it.
We came on a busy weekend night, dinner for 2. Our server was super busy (I think it was just her plus some bussers) but kept up with us and several other tables (including some extra large parties) and made sure we were happy. We were very pleased and impressed with her service.
The food was phenomenal. I got an El Diablo Burrito and boy did it deliver! The salsa was hot and flavorful, the steak was tender and the greens kept the whole thing fresh. It came with rice and a salad topped with cilantro, tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream. Both were very tasty. I cleaned my plate! Absolutely loved the food. Great work in the kitchen.
My girlfriend got the American style beef taco dinner. She said she loved the toppings and the sides were also delicious. “Yum!”
Try the salsas! We got 4 with the chips. Green and orange are both very hot. The green was really interesting, please give it a go if you can handle some heat.
Lastly, we got house margaritas (large!). The drinks themselves were great, tasty margs. You definitely get a big portion with the large and its a good value. I love that they include the drink prices on the menu. It’s a pet peeve when I have to play a guessing game with my bill, so thanks management!
(Sorry everything is half eaten/drank in the photos, I wasn’t planning on reviewing the place but I was just so darn impressed!)
Edit: After 3 more visits I can safely say this place rocks! It’s now our go-to Mexican in town and comfortably seated in our main rotation. I’ve polished off every dish they give me, it’s all good.

I had a disappointing experience when it came time to pay my bill. My server rang me up at the register, but the total amount quickly disappeared from the screen as I was prompted to scan my card. I started entering my email to receive a receipt—something I always do to track my spending—but the server hurried me to sign a paper receipt instead and never gave me a copy.
Later, I checked the digital receipt and realized a 15% tip had already been added before I manually wrote in an additional 20% on the paper receipt—meaning the server received a 35% tip. This felt dishonest and left a bad impression. I won’t be returning.

A rule of thumb to know if it’s authentic Mexican food is if you see Mexicans eating there. And I definitely did see a few Mexicans eating at this restaurant when I first walked in.
Authentic tasting nachos and salsa. Not just something thrown together out of a bag.
Just a reminder that green sauce is much spicier than the red ☺️
Lunch special on weekdays is available until 3:00 p.m. I had beef Chimichanga.
Chimichanga was good. The beef inside was a little dry though. I’ve had much better but this was not bad. However, this is the reason I had to take one star off because of non-exceptional food quality.
I had the tamarindo water. Very good. Also, traditional horchata is available on the menu

Nice festive decorations that are authentic without being overwhelming.

I love coming here after church with friends. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Food is great with fair prices. If your bank account is low they have some good lower priced meals.

I have better food from frozen entry from Walmart, i was in the area so I was grabbing lunch for my wife and I , we have eaten here before so it’s a ok place until today ,which went from 3 to 4 star to a 1 star. Enchiladas Verde cheese for my wife it was COLD and nasty really sad to have to heat of food you pay top dollar for and get a value meal quality for $40 , needless to say we spent our last money at this food place
