Dios mío. Absolutely delicious. The Monday special with lentil soup, stewed beef, and natural juices. A dream. Amazing comfort food. Service is attentive, knows what you need and when you need it.

Let’s start with the good. Food, outstanding for the price with such deep flavors especially in regards to everything in the Bistec Ecuatoriano. The beans definitely got a lot of love and the steaks marinade definitely something I’ll be seeking the recipe for. Despite my toddler like comprehension on how to eat it tradionally, I tostones con huavo y queso while simple is something I’ll be making at home. Hoping it reheats well as I took over half of it home.
It’s past 11pm on a random Tuesday, atmosphere is good. Many people watching the football match with the sound up. You could say I’m not the target demographic, gringo and very unfamiliar with the food. There was a bit of a language barrier but hey real time google translate exists and I have a beer in my hand quickly. If this is an issue for you anywhere, well either be more creative or accept that they don’t have what you want and go somewhere else without leaving them a bad review because you didn’t pay for a service nor did they promise one.
Sadly there’s one bad thing, my bartender tipped themselves 15% on the POS (Point of Sale System) Clover. It’s so messed up on the receipt along with an additional line to write in an additional tip. I like to think this is a training issue but I couldn’t figure it out there due to the language barrier. IDK ♂️ Had a $20 left $10 bill instead with electronic tip 15% . Left upset enough after what was up til then a great service.

The corn nuts were quite interesting. The sauce that came with it was very flavorful.
Polla la brasa was a bit bland, I was surprised. But the sauace again saved the day. And, the meat was quite good.
Overall a good place to try new Ecuadorian food.

Wow ! Bad experience Saturday night with one of Waiter she wasn’t supposed be serving us, but somehow she got to us, at the bar ,She so rude, mean person , she was bullying me and my husband with the drink and music . she has no respect for customers or her self. My husband did not even get to finish his first beer and I didn’t want my first Margarita but we still payed for it then we left the place….the waiter She wears glasses, long reddish hair, not a good person , terrible have her working at your restaurant! I been going to your restaurant since day one during day hours but never been night time(BAD IDEA). She should get fired!!

I got the Wednesday lunch special which was a chicken soup and stewed chicken. Everything was very tasty, well seasoned and delicious. The waitress was very nice. The restaurant was clean and so where the restrooms. I will be coming back here soon.

I had an amazing meal at La Mitad Del Mundo in Danbury! I ordered the sopa marinera and ceviche mixto, both were packed with flavor and incredibly fresh. The soup was rich and hearty with generous portions of seafood, and the ceviche was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of citrus.
Not only was the food delicious, but the prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portions. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Ecuadorian seafood dishes

Waitress on Wed March 20, 2024 during the night was rude, extremely bossy. Basically a person with NO customer service manners. I left the restaurant and took my business somewhere else. I typically bring my team to the Mitad Del Mundo restaurant but, after this sad experience I chose to take my team somewhere else. I want to make it clear it was the waitress working the restaurant not the bar on Wednesdays. I hope the owner reads this review and takes appropriate action to make sure the customer is treated right.
