Birria and homemade tortillas — good enough?
La Mini Birrieria serves one of my favorite Mexican dishes, birria, and while I’m a big fan of the dish itself, I can’t say this spot is worth going out of my way for. That said, it’s still worth trying for your own experience and enjoyment.
The food here feels borderline overpriced, but to be fair, prices are up everywhere lately. The birria was just OK — not bad, but not especially memorable. What does help elevate the experience are the salsas and the homemade tortillas, which add a bit of that comforting, homemade touch, though still not quite enough to make it stand out.
The red salsa was a highlight — flavorful and well-balanced. The green salsa, on the other hand, was just average. Now, the homemade tortillas – Delicious. Easily one of the best parts of the meal.
I also tried the strawberries and cream. The cream itself was good, but unfortunately, the strawberries were sour and really dragged down the dessert. A new produce vendor might be a good idea. The coconut and the granola topping made it better.
The music playing in the background was a nice touch, but the single speaker setup doesn’t do it justice. Investing in ceiling speakers could help create a more comfortable atmosphere for diners.
This is not a full service restaurant, you must order at front, then go find a table, and good luck.

Absolutely delicious! Mini Birrieria is a hidden gem. The birria is rich, flavorful, and slow-cooked to perfection — tender meat with that deep, authentic taste that makes you want to order seconds. The consommé was full of flavor and perfect for dipping tacos.
The service was quick and friendly, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Everything feels homemade, with that comforting touch you only get from a place that truly cares about quality.
If you’re a birria lover, this spot is a must-try. Affordable, tasty, and unforgettable — I’ll definitely be back soon!

The birria is delicious. The birria ramen hit the spot. Their Conchitas were yummy. The only thing I would change is their Aguas frescas were too sweet, I had to add water to my Agua de nuez and my friend to her pepino con Limon Agua fresca. Will definitely return to this place. Everything we tried was great!

I found them on TikTok and I couldn’t wait to go. Unfortunately it took me quite a while to finally get here. This weekend we were celebrating my niece’s birthday and I thought this would be a super fun place to get dessert and a fun drink. Totally worth going. I had banana horchata that was absolutely delicious we tried the strawberry horchata and the Churro cheesecake as well as strawberry-filled churros and everything was beautifully presented and so delicious. I love to support women-owned women ran businesses and they are both. Although we did not eat food everything that came out smelled and looked so good. We can’t wait to go back.
The staff was very helpful and so kind the restaurant has plenty of parking and extremely clean and well-kept. They have a pink flower wall which is so cute and a green grass wall as well with the neon sign they’re branding is on point and even though it’s very girly inside there was lots of guys posing for photos as well.
The internet will definitely bring in a lot of people for photo ops and Instagram posts but their food definitely will keep people coming in time and time again.
If you’re in Sacramento and are hungry or want it quick little snack or fun drink this is definitely the place to come and check out 10 out of 10 highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back.

I ordered a combo and a dessert on DoorDash and I ordered it in advance by four hours so it be ready. I work late and long hours so I wanted to make sure my dinner will be ready. I got my order from the DoorDash who was aware that the person who was giving the order for them to deliver was not only not my order that it wasn’t what I wanted they left a note and it was. I didn’t understand the note very well because of a language barrier my frustration comes with DoorDash refused to give me a refund. I was sent fish when I ordered beef tacos. no dessert. The DoorDash or basically blame the owner and said it was my responsibility to get a hold of the owner instead of them contacting DoorDash and telling them that they were not giving me the correct order. They only gave me a refund on DoorDash for the dessert I paid so much and fees and close to over $30 and I couldn’t even eat what they had given me I had to Hotel front desk agent so I wasn’t wasting food and I had to go and re-order from another restaurant to get my dinner. My frustration comes with. I cannot get a live person on the telephone and I’m very disappointed when you try to support local versus a food chain this is what happens and this has been consistently happening with many My suggestion is is that if you wanna have people come to your business, you need to take more pride and you need to have people learn how to communicate better Understand certain language then they need to use Google translator or something being a Hispanic person myself it’s just That’s the excuse of why you’re getting your food not delivered or prepared the right way it was a For this restaurant to do whoever bag this order.
DoorDash Come back if anything goes wrong at this restaurant You’re not gonna get your money back beware.
with all the fees u pay on doordash this was very upsetting.

This is a cute lil place… we have visited many times… In fact it is the first place I experienced birria… it’s always been really good… unfortunately this visit… our birria plate (we shared… they have great portions) was way under grilled… so it was barely warm and the cheese wasn’t melted… I might expect this if it was busy… but we hit it just right… and even got a table.
All that being said… it’s definitely a must try good flavor… great portions… friendly staff ❤️ maybe just ask for extra grilled if busy.

This place is over hyped. Mediocre tacos. We drove there and they only took cash/venmo. So I pPlace an order through DoorDash for pickup since I saw their tablet and it took them 50 minutes to complete the order! They have long lines not because of the food but because they take long to take orders and make them!! Everything tasted like they went extra with garlic.
The rice had a hint of garlic which was weird. The roll tacos were probably the best thing. The consome was water downed. The “quesatacos” dry. The salsas were ok. The pepino water was watered down. Nothing special.
