First time trying this place out and I was pretty happy with it. I loved all the traditional dishes available. The decor is beautiful and the service was pretty good, our order came a little off, but nothing serious. (I got beans on instead of just rice And my fil wanted one enchilada and got 3.
We got Guacamole (it’s a little spicy of you are sensitive)
Mojarra my husband said was amazing! Really tender and juicy.
File for enchiladas rice and beans, he said it was pretty good. The beef had good flavor.
I got a chicken tamale unbelievable flavor!! So yummy! (it was very spicy and my body betrays me when it comes to spice, so I couldn’t eat much of it) But trust it was absolutely amazing. I also got a pastor and a carnitas taco. Both pretty decent.

Overall I would say it is living up to its hype for certain dishes and I look forward to coming back and trying more things!

I visited this new restaurant with high expectations, given our love for their other location. The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the start, and the decor was stunning with traditional Mexican imagery. However, there were some areas for improvement. The bathroom water fixtures were problematic – the bowls were too small, and the faucet’s strong flow created a mess.

The menu was extensive, but overwhelming. Focusing on staple dishes and customer favorites might make it more manageable. The food was generally great – fresh, well-seasoned, and tasty. However, it seemed like the kitchen was still getting into a groove, with some dishes arriving out of order (nacho cheese after the nachos, rice and beans after the molcajete). The use of plastic cups also felt like a cost-cutting measure that detracted from the overall experience.

The grand opening seemed improvised and rushed. Despite these issues, the restaurant has great potential. With more attention to detail and preparation, it could truly shine. For now, it’s a beautiful space serving tasty food, but it needs a bit more TLC to reach its full potential.

My husband and I came here on a spontaneous date night and as we came in we were greeted with such friendliness and attentiveness. You could smell the fresh carnitas and barbacoa that they sell in the To-Go area. The dining areas ambiance is so vivid and happy. Such jaw dropping and thoughtful attention to detail. Our waiter was super funny and gave us great suggestions on the specialties of the house. We had drinks, dinner, and wonderful music to go along with it all. I highly recommend this place as your go-to authentic Mexican spot AND the best part is the food prices do not break the bank.

We had an Great and Affordable Lunch with a Steak Chimicanga, Barria Taco and the ACP. All the food was very good and great portion for a lunch menu. I had a $5 Margarita that was good and big too. Will be back with some friends!

Great menu from tacos to burritos and more.
My favorites are green chile pork Gordita , el pastor tacos on Tuesday and quesabirria tacos.
The food taste fresh and served hot. A side of beans and rice to accommodate is a must.
This is one of my most favorite places to eat authentic style food.

First time trying we kind of stumbled on this place. We are from Michigan and have a favorite Mexican restaurant there – my husband loves bistek à la Mexicana and he was so excited this is the first place to compare. I had the lunch steak fajitas and the dish was delicious and a good amount for the lunch special price . We both had coronaritas- they were massive and very good! Even the chips were fresh, light and crispy probably the best around, and the salsa has the perfect amount of heat. We were also pleasantly surprised by the bill! Two meals and two margaritas right around $50 you can’t find that many places anymore. The staff was very attentive coming to check on us several times through our visit. This is hands down our new favorite Mexican restaurant in mooresville. I have zero complaints and we will be back soon!!!

Compared to the other La Michoacana, this one is more of a dine in restaurant with servers. The inside is nice! Cool flowers decorate the entry and they have a bar inside. With all that though, the food is more expensive by 30% vs the other location. The Birria taco’s are $5 instead of $4 like the other one. The cheese dip and salsa is also too diluted and runny. The Birria taco’s are also delicious but slightly inconsistent; one of my tacos barely had meat.

I think I’m going to stick to the other location, because it’s cheaper and more consistent. The staff is very friendly: A+ on that! Overall, 4/5 stars is pretty fair because the food is great, it’s just more expensive at this location.

From the atmosphere, to food, to the drinks, to the customer service, this place has it all! Every Tuesday they do $0.99 Tacos! Their drinks are also so huge, I had to try the Mega margarita! The food is a great portion for what you’re paying for. A bang for your buck! This is definitely a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered
