Since the most famous chefs praise their moms for being their inspiration, what would happen if a whole restaurant was taken over by a group of Italian mothers?! Ready to find the answer to such a big and tasty dilemma, Peppe Corsaro launched a casting call on Facebook back in 2018 looking for brave mothers who’d fly to London and cook their regional recipes. Since the first opening in Chelsea in 2018, so many mammas joined the adventure and fed hungry Londoners in King’s Rd Chelsea, Hollywood Rd Chelsea and Kensington Park Rd in Notting Hill!

Quaint Italian restaurant plating regional fare & fresh pasta offering cookery classes & party hire.

La Mia Mamma – London – King’s Road

A whole restaurant was taken over by a group of Italian mothers! Passers-by can see the Mammas working their magic in the restaurant’s window kitchen.

Food exquisite and service unobtrusive. Opted for antipasto and pasta menu which includes 1 drink and desert. Just as well we didn’t go for the menu including main as I don’t think we would have managed to eat everything. We couldn’t fault any of the dishes. Our waiter was very pleasant and friendly. We didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We’ll definitely return.

Absolutely loved La Mia Mamma. The food was genuinely out of this world, every single dish was rich, comforting and full of flavour. And the portios are very generous! You can really tell everything is made with care and proper Italian love. All the dishes were amazing especially the starters – even the bread was so good!! 😀

Huge thank you to our host Fabio who was honestly amazing. Super warm, friendly and made the whole experience even better. I have to say the entire staff was very attentive and lovely.

The atmosphere is cosy and fun, perfect for sharing food and taking your time. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Cannot recommend it enough!

On a stretch of Kings Road not short of competition, La Mia Mamma succeeds through clarity and consistency. The cooking is rooted in tradition! Bold tomato depth, well-handled pasta, and a tiramisu that respects proportion and texture!

What lingers, however, is the warmth of the room. Service is attentive, relaxed and genuinely hospitable. The kind that feels considered rather than rehearsed.

Excellent food and service. The highlight was the mixed starter board, especially the Mazzafrissa Sarda. The seared tuna was also incredible. The portions are very generous and ordering the set menu experience (pasta and main) is great if you are hungry. We will be visiting again to try the rest of the menu. We walked in and got lucky to be seated right away, I recommend booking in advance.

After 3 years of living in the UK I can safely say we found a most genuine example of authentic cuisine and service.
As soon as we entered we were treated by the mamma by the window who made us a delicious complimentary (so rare in the uk) bruschetta.
We chose the first set menu at £41 each which included a good quality glass of Prosecco, starters to share, past, desert and coffee/tiramisu.
I can safely say everything exceeded our expectations. I have grown up in Italian culture and also speak the language and I must say I had given up on a genuine, well priced and welcoming Italian place until I found this one.

The starters says “board” to share so by UK standard I expected a board with cold cuts. This was the case but I they went over and above and we had about 4 additional warm starts which were all divine.

I then chose the pistachio pasta and my husband the carbonara. I safely say this was the best carbonara in the Uk and I’ll be back just for that!

We were so full we had to skip desert and Cesare our waiter kindly gave us the desert to take away.

We finished with a delicious limoncello.

We will surely be back. Alla prossima !

I celebrated my birthday at La Mia Mamma King’s Road and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. The atmosphere was unreal, the whole restaurant turned into a proper party and the staff made it so special.

The food was incredible: fresh, authentic Italian dishes full of flavour. The Mamma’s know what they are doing!!! The pasta was outstanding (you can tell it’s homemade) and the tiramisu was one of the best I have had.

What really made the night though was the staff – warm, fun, and genuinely amazing. They went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable, they even came singing for me with sparklers on my birthday cake!!! Such a joyful place. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s been my second time here and I cannot stress enough how authentic the food is and how lovely all the staff is. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they put on a big show for him (he was embarrassed so goal achieved). We had the starters and were already full after them, then got the pasta. We couldn’t decide which one was better. The starters came in so may variants we couldn’t decide which was the best either. I 1000% recommend this place, unbeatable value for money

I went to La Mia Mamma for my birthday with a group of 11 girls. We had a table at 7pm on Saturday evening and had the pasta set menu- starters, 3 types of pasta and desserts afterwards. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun- they bought the desserts out singing for my birthday with all the staff. Food was beautiful and plenty of it (with a prosecco included)! Habib was great to us. So grateful and thank you to Krisha for organising it all very well, too.

I recently had an absolutely wonderful experience at Alla Mia Mamma, largely thanks to the incredible service provided by Fabio.

Fabio was truly exceptional. Not only was he professional and knowledgeable—he clearly knew how to do his job perfectly—but he was also wonderfully funny and kind. He made the whole dining experience delightful and memorable.

And the food? Oh, the food! Every single bite was a journey. They managed to make me travel to Italy with each bite. Finally, authentic Italian music, taste, and genuinely healthy food are all together in one place in London. You can truly taste the difference in the quality and love put into every dish.

Alla Mia Mamma is a gem, and staff like Fabio make it shine even brighter. Highly, highly recommended!

La Mia Mamma on King’s Road is one of those rare Italian restaurants that truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into Italy itself. From the moment you walk in, the warmth of the staff and the inviting aroma of freshly cooked dishes set the perfect tone. The menu is filled with traditional Italian favourites — hearty, generous, and bursting with rich flavours — all served at an affordable price. It’s the kind of place that captures the essence of authentic Italian dining, where good food, laughter, and a welcoming atmosphere come together effortlessly.
