My colleague and I had dinner here and it was really good, service was great, prompt and with smiles.
I had the Gamberetti Allagio as the starter and this was really tasty. Had the Tortelloni Bolognese as the main dish – what wowed me was the generous amount of bolognese sauce and meal portion size, most places are always stingy with it, the taste was really great, although the tortelloni was a little too soft for me. Ended the night with the Vanilla and Pistachio gelato, at this point i couldn’t walk again .
My colleague had vegetable soup (that had chunky veggies in it) vegetarian pizza (that had about 10 vegetables on it), and she really loved this.
Overall, we really had a good experience.

An okay Italian meal. Wouldn’t rush back, but it was inoffensive and a convenient location. Pizza bases seemed a little too uniform, so I’m not convinced how home made they were- I’ve been to Italy 40 times, so feel able to comment on that.

Excellent food and great service at La Mezzuluna. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully cooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

My wife and I visited the restaurant without a reservation. Fortunately, although some tables were taken, we were promptly shown to a pleasant table. We ordered olives with bread, lasagnas and garlic pizza bread. Although the order was simple and relatively low value the staff were friendly and attentive. The food arrived in good time and was very hot and fresh. The lasagna was on par with the best we’ve had elsewhere. A really good touch was being given a bowl of Parmesan to use as we wished; it was even topped up after we’d pretty much emptied the first bowl. The garlic bread, although not the largest around, was extremely hot, fresh and hit the spot nicely. The Chardonnay and draft Peroni were both good. On a very cold night we found the restaurant was pleasantly warm and with a nice atmosphere.
All in all we had a very pleasant meal for a fair, inexpensive price and will happily return.

Lovely staff and food which came quickly. Nice cosy interior. We were visiting from Yorkshire and surprised at how affordable it is compared to our local Italian.

We dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary during a recent break in Carlisle. We didn’t book a table in advance, but we were made very welcome and quickly seated. The food, wine and service were fantastic, we would highly recommend this restaurant and would not hesitate to return when back in the area.

We got back late from a train trip and this was close to the station. The service was prompt and the food very good. We had caprese salad,salmon that came with 2 sides and spaghetti carbonara.

Wonderful food. Wonderful restaurant. Frequently enjoyed takeaway pizza from here too but the price is far too expensive for takeaway now. Has went up quite a lot and unfortunately won’t return. Shame because it is good.

Arrived 2.0pm Friday for a meal the restaurant was full which I thought was a good sign had a great meal with a lovely wine the service was excellent very friendly the food was very tasty and lots of it my first time in Carlisle for many years but La Mezzaluna would be worth coming back again ASAP. I now know why it was full at 2.0pm in the afternoon and absolute gem we’ll worth a visit Thankyou for a great Dining experience

Friendly and attentive staff, food was good and tasty but didn’t blow my socks off. My wife’s steak however was apparently gorgeous. Would happily go again, next time I’ll maybe try the steak .
The atmosphere was loud when full, but it’s a small contained space, if you’re harder of hearing you may not enjoy it as much as peak times. Should also good for those with slight mobility issues, there is one small step towards the back of the restaurant towards the toilets.
