I am a Mexican food lover, and I think this is the best Mexican food in NJ. Everything was so delicious. I especially loved the churros that were stuffed with caramel. Definitely recommend. I can’t wait to come back,

Just wow! We are visiting from CT, we’re here visiting family, and we decided to try this place for dinner tonight and boy am I glad we did! Everything in the menu sounds amazing, and everything we got was absolutely delicious. Our waiter Jonathan was very kind and helpful, my boyfriend was stuck on two different kinds of tacos and he was very helpful and funny about it! We will definitely be coming back for more this place was AWESOME!

Soo happy we made a pit stop here on our way from Long Island to Scranton! What a gem. I was immediately extremely impressed with the atmosphere, theming, and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a spot this special, the food and drinks were incredible, the staff was very friendly and kind, and it was also extremely reasonably priced. I would definitely go out of my way to come back someday in the future. Highly recommend!

This place would be excellent if the prices were more in line with Mexican food. We spent $231.02 during lunch for 3 appetizers, 4 entrees, 1 beer, 1 margarita and 2 mocktails (they charged us the same price for non-alcoholic drinks). Plus they automatically include the tip, which is weird for me as a regular “out to dine” patron. Let me decide on the tip! In fact, I may have tipped better had you not included it for me. The ceviche appetizer was a perfect 10! The rest of the food was decent enough and hits all the boxes for decent Mexican food. I was a little sticker shocked at spending $231 for tacos, fajitas, rice & beans though. Maybe I’m being cheap? The average price of tacos & burritos runs about $8-$18 pp at similar restaurants. We spent almost $60 per person – which includes one beer and one margarita for two people. I also thought the place could be cleaner. There was garbage under our table when we sat down: dirty napkins and left over food from the previous party. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Overall it’s a solid 3-3.5 only because Mexican food should be an affordable option especially for lunch. $231 for 4 people is a lot for Mexican food. Plating could use some love too. If you want to charge $30 per entree, then plate like it’s a $50 entree.

We had a great experience at this Mexican restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered the Tostones Kabob, and for mains my wife chose the Mexico City Tacos while I had the Tacos de Birria. Everything was very tasty, and the portions were generous.
The waiter was friendly and gave helpful suggestions with our order. I also want to highlight the atmosphere—it felt very welcoming. The tables were clean (not sticky, which I really appreciate), and they even brought us free nachos with salsa while we waited for our food.
Overall, great food, big portions, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

Stopped in because I’ve passed by a few times (wanted to try it) and finally got a sitter. The owner, Francesco, makes you feel at home. The food is delicious. I got the enchiladas and will be back soon for all-you-can-eat Taco Tuesday. One plus is that they have chicken fingers for when I bring the kids back with me. Excited for happy hour too. The drinks were good. I had a Cosmopolitan and it was really good.

This Mexican restaurant doesn’t cease to impress us! We have been to eat here at least 5 times and we have nothing but wonderful things to say. The owner is always there to greet us and he oversees that everything on the table is to served to perfection. My husband was craving seafood and he ordered the Margarita del Mar dish. It was beyond this world! Fresh seafood cooked to perfection and the sauce we could have drank alone in a cup. We 100 percent recommend this place.

Disappointed. We had heard so many good things about this place.
The Good: My wife and I came on a busy Tuesday night, place is packed, didn’t have to wait long for a table at all. Service came with a smile, the older guy was really watching out for everyone including the two waitresses. I’m from the food service industry; their teamwork was excellent, a bit scattered but top notch. Busy busy busy.
The Okay: the food wasn’t BAD per se, it was just so bland. I had the Paella (an astonishing $35 high ticket) and my wife had the Flautas ($20). It smelled wonderful but tasted like uncle Ben’s rice with food coloring. Chicken came overcooked with a chewy/rubbery texture. The seafood was similar except tougher. The chips and salsa they give you taste like cold watery tomato sauce with large chunks of onion thrown in.
It’s a Mexican restaurant it doesn’t have to be spicy but at least flavorful. I can’t justify the high price for their food when you have great places like Maria Bonita or Don Jose next door. This place has potential, but needs work. We can at least say it’s 50% better than the last restaurant that was here.
