This is the place to go to before getting your next tattoo! Get your blood sugar up! Ruth was the most attentive and friendly server ever! Me and my friend got the por vida burrito and it was DELICIOUS to say the least! Huge portions and served HOT. Go here!

I’m gonna be honest with you, I’m a very picky eater and I love food! Like I told my hubby the restaurant can be a five star ⭐️ rating but if I don’t like it I won’t go back simple as that!! Best New Mexican food even better than Stuffy’s which I never went back! This small unique place is awesome I recommend it very much! Thank you ladies you just got yourselves 2 new customers see you soon!!! Blessings your way!

This pictures are from today December 13th 2025! Is still my best choice of New Mexican food I really do recommend it! Nothing but real home made food!!!

The ladies up front are very nice and helpful. I ordered 2 dozen of tamales for $70, there was hardly any meat in them and no sign of chile. Unfortunately will not be ordering from here again for the price/quality.

A wonderful experience. The service was extremely good. The staff (owner?) was super friendly and inclusive, also proudly telling us how they prepare the tortilla fresh and how the beef was not frozen. They are proud of their food.

As of the food, the price was more than fair, I also like the breaking bad reference on the menu and ended up getting the Heisenberger, with sopaipilla bun. It was a wonderful burger, juicy patty, rich chille and cheese flavor, and an egg with running yolk, it was satisfying. The fries were amazing, we absolutely didn’t expect such good fries in a random spot like this in Albuquerque. We also got plain sopaipilla, it was not bad but one level below Cocina Azul and El Patio.it was a bit oily, not as soft and fragrant.

Overall, an experience with no regrets, highly recommended.

A hidden gem tucked in between 3rd&4th Street on Coal with wonderful, fresh tasting food, and chile. They also sell pints of their chunky salsa, chile, taco and tostada shells, tortillas, cookies, empanadas, chicharrones and chips!!

This place was incredible! The two of us ate for just over $15 which is incredible. The lunch was amazing and homemade and the sopapilla was the most delicious fried bread. Their smothered tamales were also incredible and the best I’ve had. I highly recommend this place to anyone! They’re also top rated for their rancheros huevos. Definitely not a place to skip when you’re driving through New Mexico !

Shop local shoutout today goes to Ruth & Oriah at the La Mexicana Tortilla Factory on 4th downtown ABQ. Started with chips and fresh salsa. Great green Chile cheeseburger with sautéd onions, the bun tasted homemade & Ruth told us the meat was local. Fries were good too. The combo plate was on special, tacos were tasty & those tortillas were as fresh as they come plus we got our iced tea complimentary. 10/10 would recommend, in fact, I’ll be back.

They’ve been around for 90 years for a reason. Always great service and friendly staff. Basic hard shell tacos do it for me. Do yourself a favor and try them.
