A Mexican style restaurant with high quality food and a great service. The menu offers popular Mexican dishes. The place atmosphere is amazing. Fresh chips and hand made on the table guacamole. They offer in-out door sitting. Food came out quick. Portions are large, so you can share. Parking a little limited. You nigh want to reserve during weekends. The price is one of the best feature, you will be amazed. Great job and will def recommend to friends and family.

Ambience was great. Small restaurant, family friendly, great atmosphere and trendy decor. We sat at the bar and service was good. Bartender was attentive despite how busy it was. My husband and I shared the nachos especial which were great. Big portions, tortillas and chips made fresh there. We also got the fried ice cream which wasn’t that great. Texture of the coating of the fried ice cream was not crunchy like you’d expect but the flavor was there.

Wow!!! What can I say! It was amazing finding this place on our Anniversary weekend celebration at Marco Island. Hubby came across it the day before and went in to find out information on operation hours. Grace was so kind to give him information, so he wanted to come back and eat there in our Anniversary day. We came the next day together and Lauren gave us a warm and beautiful welcome in and sat us down, then came along Grace again as our server! Oh what a sweet n kind young lady. Loved her smile, welcome, friendliness thru out our whole meal. The food, ooooooo! Amazing!!!! The Nachos Especial the best I’ve ever had! Hubby had the Shrimp Fajitas , delish!!! Portions were great!! We had left overs back to the hotel. In love with the decor of the place! Drinks were delish as well the Pineapple Fizz n Michelada. We found our new to go place for a delish meal next time were in Marco Island. The Churros, OMG, the cherry on the top, yuuuuummyyyy!!! Thank you for making our day so special.

La Mesa was definitely not the place for us. The service was great, but the food was severely lacking seasoning and flavor. The refried beans had the texture of canned refried beans. I picked 3 tacos… shrimp, birria, and gringo. The shrimp was the only one that was edible with any flavor at all.

La Mesa Taqueria offers an incredible atmosphere with some awesome signatures. The “best margaritas on the island” were really really good and I would rather have two of those than any marg pitcher for the same price. The tacos were on point but the carne asada burrito stole the show. Their tortillas and shells were made onsite fresh and it clearly makes a difference. They were short staffed but their team was experienced beyond their years to keep the late evening flowing. This was our 2nd time visiting Marco Island and La Mesa Taqueria was what was missing two years ago when we first visited. We will be back again!

You know when you can taste the passion and love for what the chefs doing behind the scenes in the kitchen? That’s what missing

My crispy fish tacos were over cooked and drowning in pickled cabbage / onions? with a dash of crema on top. Tasteless.
My mom’s carnitas tacos were filled with fatty meat.
Elote was incredibly unimpressive – I can send you my recipe if you guys need it. Literally just canned corn and some cream.
My spicy margarita wasn’t spicy at all and not work the price.
Cute space and atmosphere. Food was not great.

My family hosted a dinner here to kick off my wedding weekend, and it was amazing. I planned it in about two weeks with the manager, Vince, who was so easy and accommodating to work with. We were given a great, spacious outdoor area plus a whole side of the bar, which was perfect for our group. We did a buffet/family-style setup, and it worked out perfectly.

Our waitress, Megan, was incredible. She handled about 30 of us all night long and was so on top of everything. The food was great, the rest of the staff was great, and the whole experience was exactly the lowkey fun vibe that we needed.

Most places charge you just to reserve space for a big group, but there was no catch here. We got to use the space as part of our group meal, which was so nice. It was truly the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend!

La Mesa Taqueria might just be one of the best additions to Marco Island in recent years. From the moment you step inside, you can feel that this place is something special. The design and decor are vibrant and modern, but still manage to feel warm and welcoming — a perfect blend of coastal charm and elevated Mexican flair. Every detail, from the lighting to the furniture, feels intentional and creates a lively, upbeat atmosphere that’s as fun as it is stylish.

The crowd is energetic and diverse — a mix of locals, in-the-know tourists, and families all enjoying the buzz of a place that clearly knows how to do things right. It’s the kind of restaurant that feels like it’s already part of the island’s fabric.

And the food? Decent Mexican. The menu is creative without being fussy, offering bold, flavorful takes on classic dishes. The tacos are packed with flavor, the birria is a must-try, and the guacamole — made fresh right at your table — is a show and a snack all in one. Drinks are equally impressive, with margaritas that are bright, balanced, and clearly made with care (and quality tequila).

For the quality of the experience, the pricing is exactly what you’d expect — not cheap, but absolutely fair for the level of food, service, and ambiance you’re getting. You’re not just grabbing a bite here — you’re getting a full, memorable dining experience.

La Mesa has quickly earned a spot among our go-to places on the island. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation.

I think we found our new favorite restaurant here on Marco Island. The chips and salsa, table side guac, and queso was the best. Out of all three appetizers, the queso was my favorite!! Wow!!! The atmosphere was so nice, they have live music on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. What a fun place to eat, with great food.

Wow! This place is amazing. From the moment we walked up the 2 young ladies were very friendly, and welcoming. Thank you Casey for your professional, and kind service. You’ve shown great hospitality with a warm smile. The food was delicious and we couldn’t stop eating. Lol
Also I want to give an extraordinary shout to Casey and the chef (kitchen) for making my son who has autism quesadilla with just plain cheese and chicken. The guacamole was soo good, yum. The young did a great job. It’s very important when restaurants take the time to listen to their customers. Because the customers won’t stop coming ✨⭐. So thank you for a most beautiful experience, delicious food, and amazing service.
