The food wasn’t hot, just kinda warm. The taste overall was very disappointing. I had dinner with a friend and she ordered tacos, couldn’t even finish them because they tasted so off and she described them as raw. I ordered a quesadilla fajita and the tortilla was soggy with grease. The steak was chewy and lacked flavor. The service was good, the employees were attentive and kind, but the food is beyond mediocre.

I would say they prepare & serve the Best Taco salad in Fort Smith! We normally visit Sunday’s after church One of the guys we work with really enjoys their Taco Tuesday Menu We are going to make a big effort to pickup some for our office The La Mesa staff works hard to keep the tea & chips refilled We can’t remember all their names However , we do remember Ida & Bernice & Christian & Jose These folks are very mindful of their guests even on very busy days they are attentive, friendly & professional They provide the high level of service you Appreciate and look forward to having from a fine dining out experience!

First time visiting La Mesa Mexican Restaurant at 1217 South Waldron Rd. in Fort Smith, and everything was absolutely superior. Our server, Ida, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything from start to finish. The service was excellent, the food came out fast, and the refills were amazing without us ever having to ask. Drinks, chips, and everything else were kept full and fresh the entire time. Every detail felt right, and the experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

My friends and family eat here often. Why….. because they are basically the BEST Mexican Restaurant in town!! And have the friendliest waitress around. Ida, Bernice and Christian you can’t ask for a better team. The food is on point all the time. The atmosphere is always great. You won’t be disappointed.

Food was what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant in Arkansas. The chips were fresh and crispy. The salsa had no heat so I asked for “hot salsa” to mix the two. That made it a nice warm heat and went great over my burrito. I ordered the steak burrito and it stretched across my oversized plate. The toppings were tasty and the meat was tender. The restaurant was really clean and moderately busy for a late lunch.

Berenice is a legend. As we walked through the door, overwhelmed with music and the amazing smells of home cooked food, she appeared and ushered us to our table, giving us a choice of not only rebel or booth, but location within the restaurant as well. Chips, salsa, and drinks quickly followed our seating. After a brief discussion, and her suggestions we decided on the Azteca, cannot recommend enough! Drinks are cold and food is hot!
