Our second visit tonight, and the meal was excellent, again. We’ve had fish and chips, shrimp and chips, baha fish tacos and baha shrimp tacos. Each meal we were presented with a small cup of shrimp broth and a basket of taco chips as starters. The service tonight was a little slower, and the music is quite loud if sitting inside, but overall, an enjoyable place to go.

Food was good for the most part but service was terrible, so entitled. Fries were cold and minimal so we asked for hot ones and the server came to collect the cold ones like we were trying to pull one over on them. The manager/bartender was watching a movie at the bar with the volume on. One of us ordered fish tacos and they brought shrimp tacos. They also tried to charge me for a $20 drink that we didn’t order. Overall terrible experience, almost entirely because of the staff, won’t be going back.

Really tasty food! The fish and chips were fantastic (and I’m British, so that says a lot!) and we really enjoyed the ceviche Al natural. The highlight of the meal was a surprise – the cucumber water! It was deliciously refreshing, and I’m considering going back just to have another one!

It was delicious, served hot and as ordered. Service was good. Overall my issue is the price. Seems that this restaurant solely caters to people NOT from the area and it is priced as such. If you’re absolutely jonsing for good fish & chips, then you can find it here but you’ll pay the tourist price for it.

Very tasty fish and chips. The portion of chips and coleslaw is small but both are very nice. Excellent fish and batter. I enjoyed the meal.

Top notch fish and chips. Fish was significantly fresh was not heavily battered. Fries was crispy without the oily residue. Waitress served a small cup of soup which was tasty some kind of a french consommé. Service was friendly and atmosphere was relaxed. Next time I will try the crab meat empanadas.
Tried the crab meat empanada two days after, La Mermeja again delivered its finest cuisine, the empanada dough is like a puff pastry with the moist filling of the crab meat. Shrimp broth was tasty and generous amount of shrimps in the bowl.
A refreshing cucumber lime drink to quench and relieve the Huatulco heat.
Overall fully satisfied with the quality of food/ service and atmosphere. Price is totally reasonable.
