Came for dinner on Friday night. Atmosphere was great, extremely busy so need to book ahead. Got a strawberry marg which was great. We had the padrón peppers and nachos and cheese dip and I got the quesadilla and tofu taco. Everything was absolutely delicious. The quesadilla was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!

Was a bit concerned based on other reviews that the portion sizes would be really small, but everything we had was perfect. The tostadas do look quite small though. Prices were extremely reasonable. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Will definitely be back for taco Tuesday!

I absolutely love the restaurant’s decorations and colours! The smoked lamb rib was absolutely perfect and the cocktails were great. The prices are reasonable and I’ll definitely be back.

The food was amazing.. so many new flavours for me and the perfect balance of heat. The pork tacos, corn ribs and barbacoa cabbage were particular favourites. The margaritas were perfect too!

Birria tacos are my favourite, and la masa didn’t disappoint. Rich and full of punchy flavours with a fragrant consommé. But the pineapple and mezcal tarte tatin stole the show for me: tangy and boozy pineapple paired with the sweet and creamy horchata ice cream made for a perfect end to the meal.

Return visit to La Masa for their taco Tuesday deal. £25 pp, 5 courses and chips and queso. The food was stunning, fresh and flavourful. This is authentic style Mexican food with a twist. A must visit in Glasgow.

Came here for dinner for Tuesday Tacos and honestly.. the food felt very greasy..Margs tasted a little weak (maybe premixed?). Not the experience I’d had before, hence why I had thought to come back. And the wall next to our table looked like this.. which definitely made me a feeling a bit queasy eating there… not great vibes.

This place used to be great. We brought friends with us on Saturday night and felt embarrassed. It wasn’t busy so that wasn’t the problem. The food was overcooked, greasy, extremely salty, and didn’t have the interesting flavours that previously made this the best Mexican Glasgow ever had. The menu was much smaller than previously. We left a lot of our dishes. The waiting staff didn’t ask us what we thought of it, we would have been politely honest.
Left hungry and bought crisps and chocolate.
I don’t like to write negative reviews, I know that times are hard in the restaurant business and I don’t want a place to suffer if it had been one bad night, but this had the feel of cooking so poor that there is something far wrong.

Tried this out for the amazing selection for gluten free. Started out fabulous first 3 dishes were fantastic, then it took a turn.

Tortillas for two dishes seemed undercooked and hard, fell apart and crumbled very easily. The crayfish and fried fish ones.
Then the calamari – the saltiest thing I have ever eaten. It made me wince it was so over powering and off putting. We left most of it after attempting to eat it with different sauces to cover the salt.

When ordering we wanted to do it in stages – however the service speaks volumes here that they don’t listen and are very passive. I get it is small plates but often want to split meats and fish and white meats. They brought the steak before other dishes against my request. I sent it back, and when finished asked for it again. I’m not naive and they served me the same portion over cooked. Photos for reference that the first one looked perfect, the second showed double over cooking and looked over done.

I would return for specific toastadas, however think the rest outweigh the good and I’m reluctant to. Shame as some flavours were amazing and their blood orange hot sauce was a wonderful flavourful concoction.

Good experience in here on Saturday 21st Dec, three of us having food and drinks. Favourite item is the chicken chipotle taco.
Between us we had several starters and several mains plus desert and drinks so pretty much sampled the full menu.
Marked the food and rating overall down from 5 due to a couple of items on the menu not available and the non alcoholic options were poor.
Waiter could have been more attentive and took too long to pay and exit.
Total was £190+ for reference.

I came here when this first opened then revisited recently I loved it the first time I went the food was great. Visited recently and didn’t like the menu the vegetarian options were strange flavour combinations that don’t taste great on a taco and one of the dishes tasted burnt also there was no hot sauce on the table either to change spice levels which you would get at any Mexican restaurant. Genuinely begrudged paying for the meal The margaritas were great though.
