The La Marsa story began in 2006 when three friends—Adel, Fadhel & Mo—joined together to introduce the SE Michigan community to their vision of healthy and delicious food offered in an atmosphere of Mediterranean hospitality. I usually don’t go to this Lamarsa location because it’s a bit out of the way, but I stopped by a couple of times recently, and it’s the same great food as I’ve come to expect from the other Lamarsa locations. Love the fresh pita bread here! Will definitely go more often now.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating my daughters 9th birthday party. They accommodated us on very short notice. Food was beautifully plated, delicious and very generous portions for the price. We were 40 people, half kids half adults and the party room fit us perfectly fine! Service was top notch! Highly recommend for any of your events!

Update: I originally left a 5 star a while ago, but I am extremely disappointed, I ordered early from this place yesterday right after it opened at 10 AM, because I work midnights so I come home in the morning and I usually don’t like to eat breakfast so I ordered a shawarma entree since it was available, but this time it tasted and looked like someone threw it on a frying pan instead of being slowly cooked on a vertical broiler. I could have saved myself the $34 and fried some chicken at home myself! Word of advice: if you’re going to open at 10 AM and make available all items on the menu then maybe you should start cooking your shawarma at 9AM, don’t give me ghetto home style food please! Now if I am mistaken then your shawarma definitely went down in quality…

I actually did not eat at this restaurant. I was greatly looking forward to it though. I arrived in the parking and observed a cook (wearing his apron) sitting on the garden planter directly outside the restaurant. The guy was playing with his feet. Crocs off! Scratching his feet and digging between his toes, and relocating his but from planter to planter while talking on his cell phone the entire time. I prayed and went in anyway. Once seated for maybe 10 minutes, I noticed the guy entered the restaurant and went directly into the kitchen. That’s when I informed the waiter that I no longer wanted to eat there and canceled my order and left. I will Not be returning to this location. I didn’t desire athlete’s feet juices in my meal.

We have been here many times. The flavors are different than Al Oumara. They are different and delicious. The garlic sauce seemed exceptionally fresh. Though I like Middle Eastern bread, theirs is a little too thick for my preference. But of course I used it to get all the baba ganoush and garlic sauce off the plate. We ordered the shish combo for 1 and split it. More than enough.
