We visited La Marie Galante for lunch whilst on a day trip from the UK. Our primary reason for visiting France for the day was to enjoy some seafood cuisine of a quality that can not be as easily or affordably obtained in the south of England (in my opinion).
All I can say is WOW, we were not disappointed. If anything, my expectations were far exceeded. The razor clams were delicious, and the cod with risotto and parsley was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was top-notch.. the pricing, quality of food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness.. there is nothing I would change other than relocating the restaurant to around the corner from my house so I can enjoy it regularly without the commute to France! Tres très très très bons.

The seafood platter here is the best we’ve had so far in Cap Gris Nez! All seafood was incredibly fresh and the platter offered a great variety of items to enjoy. We also highly recommend the couteaux as an appetizer—the best preparation we’ve *ever* tasted. Those alone are a reason to go back! Cheese lovers will also greatly appreciate the local cheese platters they offer for dessert, alongside a variety of other scrumptious desserts.
The restaurant has been owned by the same family for multiple generations, resulting in a truly charming setting with very friendly service. No wonder it came highly recommended by some locals! If you can, try to make a reservation ahead of time as both the patio and indoor restaurant were packed around noon on a summer weekday.

Outstanding. A restaurant that excels in simple perfection. It is unpretentiously charming, the service is friendly and accurate, the food is just simply great, wines are served at the right temperature. How difficult can things be if you keep it down to what matters? We had an absolutely great evening here.

A lobster of 850 gram for 102 euro!!!! The lady has this hand written little piece of paper with weights and prices of the lobsters. Maybe the prices differ if you are a tourist or a local. I choose the cheapest which was 102 euro!!! Ridiculous pricing!!!

Had a lobster with beurre d’ail (garlic butter), tasted pretty damn good! Atmosphere is typical French touristy. We had a good time.
