The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it an inviting spot to settle in for a meal. We began with the Forest Tagliatelle, which was excellent, the pasta was well-cooked, and the earthy flavors came together beautifully. The Beef Bourguignon, however, was less consistent. While the sauce was rich and flavorful, capturing the classic depth of the dish, the beef itself was unfortunately too chewy, which distracted from the overall experience. With more tender meat, it could have been a standout.

Ordered the La Maison salad (decent), blue cheese pepper steak {medium rare} (also decent but the side of roasted potatoes was inedible), and two macchiatos (below average) with a lemon pie (lil bit too tart).
Service was great, and the outdoor seating was pleasant. Would recommend based on the atmosphere and novelty.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. The owner and the waiter there ( I am really sorry that I forgot his name) are both lovely, welcoming and helpful people. Food and deserts are amazing, so is the atmosphere of the hotel. I recommend this hundred percent if you ever come to Addis don’t leave without eating there

La Maison French Cuisine is a comfortable place to dine. The food is fantastic, with every dish crafted to perfection. It’s a wonderful spot to spend time with family and friends. The ambience is complemented by a perfect music selection, making it a delightful dining experience.

Now, about the food. We ordered the steak and cheese sandwich and the Forest tagliatelle. The sandwich was honestly below basic. “Caramelized onions” turned out to be just thinly sliced onions, and the bread was the biggest disappointment, it was basically “ye suk dabo”. The house sauce was undetectable, and overall it tasted more like local Ethiopian tibs shoved inside bread. On top of that, the portion was tiny and definitely not worth the price.
The tagliatelle was a bit better. The portion size was fair, and the flavor wasn’t bad, though it could definitely use improvement. What bothered me was the lack of customization, you have to eat the dish exactly as served, with no option to remove or adjust ingredients. They also grated cheese on top, which could’ve been a nice touch, but why provolone? It smelled off and didn’t complement the dish.
Pricing, portion sizes, and overall flavor need work. On the bright side, the Coca-Cola was perfect.
For now, I wouldn’t recommend this place for food. But if you’re looking for drinks and a good vibe, it’s worth visiting.
