The welcoming was warm and the atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice a little hidden in luxurious surroundings
Now for food, the menu was quite small 2 entrees 2 main dishes and 1 desert that we were not even aware of as it was not announced
The entrees were nice nothing out of ordinary, the soup was a little too watery and lacked seasoning but a nice butternut aroma
The main dishes was fish and was just okay the vegetables could use better seasoning and cooking.
The desert was not explained so I did not know what I was eating but it was way too sweet and just nothing crazy.
Overall the food lacks personality taste and maybe variety, I’m assuming when you have only 2 choices you should at least make them perfectly.
And the wait between dishes was a little long

Tasty, satisfying and just enough that you do not leave feeling hungry and have to stop at a drive-thru to fill the empty spot you call your stomach.
The ligting is comfortable. Bright enough so you can see what you eat and your companions’ faces, but not so bright that you want to put on your sunglasses.
Access is all on one level, no tricky staircases to navigate.
I deducted one star for service, only because we had to wait for our bill.

La Madeleine offers a wonderful atmosphere and an exceptional wine selection. It was my first time trying rabbit, and it was absolutely delicious. Between the starters and main courses, they surprised us with small complimentary dishes, which was a thoughtful and delightful touch. The team at La Madeleine clearly pays great attention to customer service, and I was truly impressed with the overall experience.

It’s a French restaurant in Pretoria. All food are high quality and beautifully presented. Atmosphere is also cozy. Chef gives recommendations of order instead of not having a menu. I ordered calamari and rabbit, which were so good. Next time, I will come to here on Sunday lunch! If you go to there, you should make a booking in advance.

This restaurant was referred to us by a friend. When we got there, I was a bit sceptical because it doesn’t look like a typical restaurant from the outside. But once we were inside, we were met with awesome staff and a fantastic chef that told us what was on the menu. It truly was fantastic.
Food: We were a party of 3 and we mostly tried to order different dishes to taste everything, and I can honestly say that every option was amazing!! We have done a lot of fine dining before and love eating out, and normally there is at least one thing that is not nice. At La Madeleine EVERYTHING was amazing!!! And it really was very affordable and great value for money.
Service: The staff was also super! They were there at the right times, without us having to ask for them and also without them being annoying. They just knew when we needed them. Lovely, amazing and truly friendly people. I loved every second.
Cleanliness: The bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. And YES, that matters!!
Honestly! Treat yourself! You won’t regret it!
