I am very impressed with both the food and the kind quality of service. The tomato basil bisque is amazing and every baked good from baguette to Crème brûlée is to die for.

Sherri and I have eaten here twice. The food is great. It was hot, fast and large servings. The croissants were melt in your mouth tasty. The mimosas were great and the OJ tasted fresh squeezed.The coffee was hot and yummy and I’m a major coffee snob. The ordering is confusing. For instance, do we take our menus to the cash register with us to order? Are we supposed to pick from the food glass case or…? I would go to table service immediately. It would be a shame if such a tasty new restaurant failed.

Lovely, welcoming space. Pleasant staff. However, there are definitely some growing pains that need to be worked through. They were out of the main ingredient of my dinner ( no big deal) but the argument between staff was unnecessary as was having my next choice questioned after ordering and paying. Price is a little too high for the quality, pretty sure that was instant rice.

I’m actually more embarrassed for the people writing these poor reviews than anything. As with any new restaurant, their are kinks to work out. I also feel that it’s increasingly difficult to find good staff in Longmont…. check out every review on Yelp, and you’ll see that service/staff is always a big complaint. Maybe these people should just eat at home.

We’ve been here several times…food is good – when you can get it – they still do not have their ordering/timing/service piece resolved…a chronic problem…..but I think today was it for us. We just went in for Mother’s Day…my kids selected made-fresh salads and items from the pre-made line….I ordered the French Country Breakfast knowing it would be at least 20 minutes. After 30 I checked with a manager…not ready yet…and she clearly knew we were still waiting. Two other staff members walked by our table and asked how everything was….I noted I was still waiting. My kids finished their brunch….their dishes cleared away. Nearing an hour after ordering, I approached the same manager who apologized profusely….I needed to leave and asked if it was ready – or near ready – if I could take it to go….she checked with the kitchen….my “eggs just went in the skillet”. I’m sorry….scrambled eggs do not take 60 minutes…clearly this order was forgotten, even AFTER I prompted them after 30! The couple who ordered before us were also at the register getting a refund…their food never arrived either so they left. Seriously….they were busy, but not swamped. No line when we arrived and tables available. We left….my meal refunded…the kids ate! Not so much the mother on Mother’s Day! Just awesome.

The food was good but the whole experience was confusing. It was my first time going. I found the service of directing me and my friend to be less than best. It would be good if they directed people better. My friend ordered a soup and I pesto pasta. We were given both the instructions to sit down and go through the line. I’m sorry I don’t have such talent. they should have specified because your friend got a soup you walk through the line. But either way you pay at the end. but if you get a dish they will bring it to you. It was very fast and the food was good.

The low rating for this place is highly deceiving. La Madeleine provides a very comfortable, clean, and classy atmosphere from the moment you walk in! The customer service was fantastic and the food was just as delicious! The food was fresh and hot and really made my heart melt just a little. For how fancy the bakery. The Lorraine quiche and the Potato soup is to die for. This restaurant is new and I hope people would give this place a shot before looking at this place’s rating. Happy Eats!

Ordered our breakfasts, 1 omelette and 1 meal that was 2 eggs & sausage, at 10:36am. The restaurant was not busy at all, which is why we went there. Everywhere else was busy. Now we know why Madeleines was not busy. At 11:24am, when we saw other people, who arrived after us, get their food and we were still waiting, we asked for a refund. The people at the table next to us were getting their food at different times, some were done before others even got their food. I cannot comment on the food since we never received it. Will never go there again and will never recommend this restaurant. First and last time at this restaurant. I will say that the staff that we encountered were nice and helpful. The restaurant and restroom were clean.

Went in early to order breakfast and they were out of my first choice. I reluctantly ordered a different breakfast. My over medium eggs had more or less hard yolks and besides the gallete there wasn’t much French about it or worth the $10 in my opinion. I was delighted to see a la Madeleine in town but unfortunately this try was a sure miss. Food still tasted good and hence a 3 just not what I wanted or what I ordered.
