I’m very pleased with this location of La Madeleine. Good food and certainly good value. Today I had a delicious ham and Swiss cheese on baguette with an included side of Caesar salad. I treated myself to butter instead of Mayo which was indulgent after a light toasting with dripping butter brought to my table. Last time I had the crepe with egg and mushroom sauce which, again, was good food and good value. My wife favors the napoleon dessert while I treasure the crème brûlée. The croissant is also good. Service is friendly, parking is easy. Convenient too when shopping in Sunset Valley.

Im pretty sure everyone already knows how amazing this restaurant is. Everything is super fresh and homemade. The cheese on top of the French Onion Soup is seared with a culinary torch rite Infront of you. They have a nice warm and cozy fireplace. The seating is perfect. Not crowded. The service is top notch. I highly recommended! It’s also wheelchair accessible.

I would not recommend. We were already skeptical when the lot was empty at 6pm on a Friday. The staff were all very nice but our table was never bussed, the crepes were dull, lemonade had no ice and was not fresh squeezed, and quiche was tasteless. The French toast was good and the pizza was decent. The actual decor of the place was very nice with the fire place and all but the floors were sticky and dirty, the bread plate had dried food, I saw a few scuttle flies by their salad and when we were leaving at 7pm, a staff member was standing on the stove cleaning the wall… will not be going back and I do not recommend!

Every now and then I like picking up the pesto pasta meal for a quick solution for lunch or dinner. The meal is advertised for a meal for 4. As usual the generous portion of the pesto pasta was great, it never disappoints. We received croissants instead of a baguette, not sure if that was my mistake in ordering or if they were just out – either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The only disappointment was the Caesar salad. Not sure if what appears as a personal salad is supposed to feed 4, or there was a mistake. Maybe 3 frugal servings is o.k. for some, but the small little salad dressing container did not work. Luckily there was ranch dressing in the refrigerator :/

La Madeline in sunset valley is simply a great place to eat. Been coming here for over 15 years and it never disappoints. The food is wonderful and service has always been great. Pastries are delicioussssss 🙂

I really wish it was possible to give 0 stars for the food. The price is absolutely ludicrous for what they serve you. I’m pretty sure that the croissant sandwich is heated in a microwave, if it is, they should switch to the Costco brand which tastes better. Overall if you’re expecting some place that has decent food for a decent price, this is NOT that place.

The Croque Madam was by far the best out of the dishes we tried (unfortunately its the one dish I didn’t get a photo of). We had the Country French Breakfast, Chicken Pesto Pasta, Turkey Cheese Croissant, and Roast Beef Croisant with potato soup. The sandwiches/croissants come with your choice of a soup or salad. Don’t know why I initially thought this place would be overpriced/expensive but I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable these meals were.
When you walk in you take a menu and once you’re ready to order you walk up to the salad bar. Afterwards your party picks the table themselves. Don’t know if they’ll do this for long but wait until after you order your meal to fill out the survey on your receipt and get a free pastry, coffee, or dessert. We went around 11am and it was not too busy.
