We started our morning, not knowing where we were going to end up for brunch, but my boyfriend and I ended up at one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. The exterior of the place does not do justice to the interior. We were greeted by Maria, who is happy to tell us how their ordering system worked. After reviewing the menu we went on to receive our food, which was ,to say the least, exquisite it was cooked too perfection and exploding with flavor. The atmosphere is inviting as well as clean ,we observed the teamwork going on in the kitchen and took notes of all the family style decorations. We sat next to the fireplace, which gave it a very nice touch. The food was so good that we came back for dinner. Here are a few pictures to show the experience. This restaurant is definitely five out of five and is instantly our new favorite. Pricing is economical because my opinion that the food is worth far more. The dessert menu is vast and they even offer housemaid jams and marmalade as well as salad dressing. They even had little gift bags just in time to pick up a last-minute Christmas gift. You won’t be disappointed if you’re in the area Stop on in and if you are a little further it’s worth a drive.

My girlfriend and I came here for a brunch date, and it ended up being one of our favorite mornings together. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Everything felt relaxed and easy, which is exactly what you want for a slow, enjoyable Sunday brunch.
The food was outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. You can tell real care goes into the kitchen. Every bite was satisfying, and we both kept saying how glad we were that we chose this spot. It’s the kind of food that makes you want to sit back, sip your drink, and actually enjoy the moment instead of rushing through the meal.
The ambiance was spot on for brunch. Bright, comfortable, and inviting, with a great energy that makes it perfect for a date or a laid-back morning out. The location just adds to it. Easy to get to and a great setting to start the day.
This wasn’t just brunch, it was a whole experience. Great service, great food, and a great vibe. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. We’ll definitely be back.

I hadn’t been here in over 5 years, and that was for breakfast. My lunch was delicious! The Croque Monsieur sandwich exceeded my expectations. The chips were tasty, and the tomato sauce satisfying. I wish I had more room for dessert! The selection looked amazing The complimentary bread went well with my soup. The cashier and servers were super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere homey! It was a nice lunchtime retreat from the norm! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I had the friand. IT was baked perfectly. Crispy pastry dough, no soggy bottom. I always order it with the creamy mushroom sauce on the side so the pastry doesn’t get soggy.
I love the salads from here. Typically, I ask for extra croutons as you see in the photo.
The potato soup came fully dressed with bacon and cheddar cheese.
Unsweetened tea in a to-go cup for the final ‘freefill’.
My MIL ordered the breakfast sampler, she said the eggs were plain but loved the fact that she ordered and received crispy bacon.
The restrooms could use a little love (the non-disabled is darker than expected when the door is closed), however, they were basically clean. The washing area has had a hole in the counter for a longtime. Patrons right before my visit to the WC were a bit messy washing their hands.
Prefer this location over the one off of I-10. Music is loud enough to hear it over the holiday traffic noise but still at a level you can have a conversation with 2 other people.
Been here many times. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was they changed teas a while back. This new one is not floral/herbal like before. It tastes like your typical Lipton: that’s right, we noticed which is why we don’t come as often.

Nice place to relax and enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. They have a nice selection of pastries, desserts, and snacks. I went for breakfast and ordered a Quiche Florentine and an orange juice. Food was good and service was also good. I was comfortable while dining here and enjoyed my meal.

This was my fist time eating here. In town visiting friends. The food and atmosphere is amazing here. The customer service was great. They have a great variety of food and desserts. If you want a quick lesson in French pop in the bathroom for a quick treat. Lots of fun. I would definitely visit again or if you are in the San Antonio area pop in for a while! Be sure and try the bread and jam..who else had a Sound of Music moment??!!??

No wonder La Madeleine is going under – my closest location has already closed and this one might as well be next. – Why are servers not taught “Customer Service” any more? – And the words “I am so sorry” when something goes wrong seems to not even be in young people’s vocabulary any more -at least not here!
Had ordered meals online – was trying to pickup via their “take out parking spots” – FIRST problem, their phone system instructions didn’t work, however way I dialed in I got into their answering system loop -> so in I have to go (not too much of a deal, I’m elderly but still mobile). – Looking through my order bag, SECONDLY I notice utensils when I clearly stated “no utensils” (not a big deal again – but just “no attention to details”) so off I go. – THIRD: Headed out and started driving in heavy traffic, we noticed items missing from the order, completely: a salad, a soup! -> Now it’s becoming a big deal; I drive back, walk in, talk to same front person, tell them I’m missing items – and what do I get: “oh, what do you need? – what did you order?” – I point to the order strip, show salad, soup – and get “ok”. – And off they go grabbing the stuff! – Coming back, I get “here you go” – THATS IT. Really ??? – So I give them one more chance and state calmly “needless to say, I am not happy having to come back” – and lo-and-behold I get another stare, and a “really”. …. At that point I am becoming speechless myself – and do walk out. Some battles cannot be won; but I *will NOT be back*. –
Their food is not what it’s been, and I don’t need to be treated as a nothing! – Now, this all could have been avoided with ONE SIMPLE “I am so sorry we missed that”! (a small extra cookie would have been an extra [Christmas] bonus, but was not expected).

After a day of shopping with GamGam and my daughter, we ate here. I love this place, it’s my favorite in the world. Always a friendly and attentive staff. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. Plenty of parking. I have been coming to this place for years and will continue to come.
