Quaint French cafe chain serving rustic country fare, espresso & fresh-baked baguettes.

I had a pleasant experience at La Madeleine in Sugar Land City Centre. There’s plenty of parking and lots of tables inside if you’re dining in. When you walk in, you’ll see a line at the register for to-go orders—so if you’re eating inside, make sure you don’t get stuck waiting in the wrong line.
On this visit, I ordered the ham and cheese Danish, and it was really tasty. The pastry had a nice, flaky crust, and the ham and cheese filling was well balanced and flavorful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, as always.
One helpful tip: ask for your receipt, because you can fill out a quick survey and get a free pastry. When dining in, they also provide complimentary bread with jam, along with hot water and tea, which is a nice touch.
If you enjoy pastries and casual French café food, this is a great spot, and I definitely recommend stopping by.

first time ever going to a establishment of this kind, not sure what I was expecting but it did not impress me at all for the price of what we got. not sure if this was a French style restaurant or a best western breakfast, and I have had a better breakfast experience at a hotel. the food was mediocre at best. I asked for over easy and they were deep deep fried eggs. the French toast wasn’t bad or great just ok. like I mentioned before not sure what I was expecting but this experience wasn’t it. the employees didnt explain the menu but left it to open interpretation on how it works, you pick you order and then you pay, kinda like a cafeteria style only way I can explain it.

Omg… this is such a disappointing reputation for a French restaurant called La Madeleine. I’ve ordered from them many times, and honestly I’ve rarely been happy with the quality of the food — but I kept giving them chances.
Today I ordered a Croque Monsieur because I was really craving it, and it was totally disappointing. Horrible. It was basically nothing but bread. I can’t even describe it well — you would understand if you saw the picture.
Please save your money. It’s just not worth it. They’re selling the restaurant name, but the food is far from a good quality

Having our order taken was a pain, with the cashier messing up multiple times while entering items and still having an item wrong when we confirmed the order with a second cashier. The hot chocolate was served cold (I don’t even know how that happens, hot is literally in the name). Puff pastry on the chocolate croissant was good. Atmosphere was very nice but I wouldn’t come back given that basic things were so hard to get right.

I used to love this location. The food is pretty good and nice for a quick lunch. This morning I had a catering order and the guy at the to-go counter was very rude. Didn’t give us any cups for the coffee tote. He told me I had to ask for them which doesn’t make sense since the box is for 8 to 10 people. I had bought a box of 6 croisant and wanted six more. When I asked for the same box as the one I already had., he cut me and told me to pay first. Very rude. He didnt give us any creamers and gave us cups with no lids. I had to ask the lady at the counter for help and she was very nice. Don’t order from them if you’re in a rush.

I’ve been going to La Madeleine for several years, and while all their locations provide good service, the Sugar Land location stands out. The service here is excellent, the food tastes fresher than at other locations, and I really appreciate that they still have the bread station by the fountain drinks—at other places, you have to ask for it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely love the La Madeleine in Sugar Land! The location is convenient, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food is always delicious. I stopped by for breakfast this morning and ordered my all-time favorite — the Lorraine Quiche — along with a cup of coffee. I also tried their new Avocado Toast, and it was amazing! The fresh avocado, feta cheese, and balsamic drizzle were the perfect combo — so flavorful and refreshing.
I really enjoy their coffee bar, where you can add cocoa and cinnamon to customize your drink just the way you like it. And the complimentary self-serve bread station is a lovely touch — the jam is delicious! This place always makes my mornings better.

I’m so happy I found this place!
The atmosphere feels so European — a friendly ‘Bonjour’ as a greeting, delicious pastry, and tomato basil soup make me feel like I’m in Europe.
Great location! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

ToGo staff were friendly and even the cashier guy helping dine-in guests. I noticed the dine-in cashier takes him time making guests feel welcomed, going above and beyond to put smiles on faces which gave my heart a warm hug. The way he communicates with guests seems to be just who he is, his personality and heart must be big. I did not get his name but he was about 5ft tall, Hispanic or of Latin roots, short to no hair-not sure of haircut style but he is a male wearing latex gloves on Thursday morning of December 4th in the 10 o’clock hour.
The Togo area is small, can easily become congested near the entrance and guests should be directed to a proper waiting area.
French Toast was great, bacon was thick and flavorful, nice fluff texture to the eggs and food was hot. The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher was less than pleasant as far as taste. The mango flavor was missing.
