Quaint French cafe chain serving rustic country fare, espresso & fresh-baked baguettes.

The food is really good – especially the almond croissant.
The service was great, as everyone was really friendly. (But ofc it would be nicer if you could just take a seat and if the waiters come to your table.)
The cafe’s interior could honestly be a bit cosier and, hence, more welcoming, because it looks a bit like a barn.

la Madeleine is the best?!! I love everything about it. I especially love the chicken salad on croissant with fruit. I see a lot of Senior Citizens there, I feel at home because I am a Senior also. I live in East New Orleans a great distance from the Restaurant, but I make that sacrifice just to enjoy the ambiance of this wonderful Restaurant.

Great experience… all our food was prepared well and great portions. We did take out, the service started a little bad but as we were leaving it was way better. The atmosphere is lovely and the set up is very neat and comfortable. The menu has alot of great options to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place for a delicious meal and with all the extras! The only thing that was lacking was a greeting and customer service…. luckily the food made up for it and great prices

Hated my experience! Ordered a salad! She asked me what size I wanted I told her and she walked away. Then we get to the register ordered our sandwiches and had to go back to add my wife sandwiches. Seemed like an inconvenience to the lady at the register. We got our cups for drinks. Ice did not work neither did most of the drinks in the machine. My cousin and I got our sandwiches but my wife’s grilled cheese took some time. This is wild… will not be back to this location.

The place is beautiful, but the service is unacceptable. The staff is rude, disengaged, and makes customers feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. There is a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service.
If you’re looking to feel unwelcome, this is the place. I will not be returning.I give zero stars for the service and one star for the place, because customer service is everything. I truly feel sorry for the owner.

They didn’t have the items we wanted, but we found out only as we got to the checkout. So we had to go back to the end of the line to order something different. I had an educator’s discount card, but they informed me that it wouldn’t work because the soup and salad I ordered was “already discounted.” The mango tea had run out, and nobody moved to refill it though they weren’t exactly slammed, so we had to order something else. And then the audacity to ask for a tip when the service was non-existent!!! The “manager” was incompetent and didn’t even apologize. Time to say good bye to LA madeleine. Awful experience.

Ordered pastries on Uber Eats and the macarons were broken and chipped and teenie tiny plus I ordered an almond croissant and was given a regular, stale, old, croissant! I paid $26 bucks for 6 macarons and a croissant. Never again! Highly disappointed and I’m seriously embarrassed bc this was a treat for someone else. Not worth it all the way around. Smh

Update:
I finally found something that La Madeleine doesn’t do well. I ordered the French Dip Sandwich and a Caesar Salad through Uber Eats. The lettuce was starting to go bad. The meat on the sandwich was tough, hard to chew and flavorless. The accompanying au jus was just nasty. I was really disappointed in my entire order and it will probably be a while before I eat here again.
Original Review:
I’ve never had a bad experience here. The staff always provide good service and go above and beyond in my opinion. The new location is smaller than the first, but it’s so much cuter. On my recent visit, I ordered the turkey cranberry melt and a side of tomato basil soup. I really loved the soup. The sandwich was okay, but could have used a tab more flavor. I did appreciate the fact that the turkey meat was of good quality.

The beef and vegetable entree I ordered was pretty terrible. I’ve had similar quality food on an airplane going to ireland and I’d argue that food was better. The soup was fine but I would stay away from the entree.

They used to have my favorite salad on the planet, the Chicken Caesar Salad. Something has changed. The chicken used to be warm, but is now cold. This drastically changed the salad and makes it more similar to a fastfood salad than the premium salad is known to be. I asked someone and they said it just changed 3 weeks ago. We don’t have a le Madeleine where we live (Nashville) but we usually stop anywhere there is one just for this salad. This won’t be the case anymore, unless they bring it back.
