This place has hit the skids. The tables were beyond sticky at 6PM on a Sunday night. A salad was drenched in salad dressing, to the point where it became inedible. At one time, this was a place where you could consistently get decent food — but it has plainly been hit hard by post-COVID malaise. At the very least, couldn’t someone get out a wash cloth and and some soap and clean down the tables?

Unfortunately, this location isn’t one to come to with high hopes of the usual comfort food followed by coffee + dessert. The food was mediocre at best, the desserts were not warm or good, and the coffee (!!) — just look at the picture. On a health note, be sure check if the cream is actually cold; you might get warm and clumpy like I did.

Consistently good food that’s reasonably priced. For under $20 I got the Salade Sampler and a slice of Coconut Creme Cake. A nice, bright setting with friendly staff.

Love this la Madeleine in Kingstown. Great place to chill while waiting for my daughter to finish dance class at MSA. The people who work there are quirky and fun. I go fairly regularly and they know me. Sinidu is always kind and gives me a smile (behind her mask). Food is solid, music is an interesting mix of French pop, classic rock and jazz. I like the warmth of the fire as well.

It’s sad what has happened to this restaurant chain. I don’t like the expectation of tipping before you receive service which is what they do here at this place when you pay, they expect you to tip. Unfortunately, I tipped them for poor service. I overlooked the sticky tables – yuk. Most of the tables are not clean and don’t even think about the floor. My chicken was cold and tasted like lukewarm mushroom soup was poured over it. NOT a pleasant dining experience. Don’t even expect free bread and butter!

Nice and quaint place. We had lunch there and the food was really nice. There’s different lovely compartments to sit both in- and outside the restaurant. Most of the staff were friendly.

I’ve never had an order so messed up in my entire life. I understand that things are stressful when it’s busy, but to not include a salad and then the actual included salad be nothing but lettuce and a dressing cup is unacceptable. Then they add an extra sandwich for the wait which is barely two slices of meat on a roll. I’ve tried to give this place multiple chances but I’m done.

Service was so bad, batista didn’t wanna give us the receipt and just made us stand there till she made the coffee. There is a confusing mix of self service amd waiting at all La Madeleine spots apparently.

We only stopped in for some dessert. The Madeline cookies, Napoleon cake, and tarts; all delicious. The cashier had a good attitude.

Really good food(I would recommend the croissant French toast) . The staff was nice and friendly. The bathrooms are clean and the intercom system teaches you French.
