Great place, we go here very often, and the food is always great, I just don’t prefer the beans.

The restaurant is on the left side of the store.

I had the chicken burrito and it was a large portion size and very tasty. It contained chicken, avocado and pickled jalapeno and was very juicy.

They serve a small (reasonable sized) appetizer of chips and some of the best sauces I have had in the region.

Been here twice, food was good the first time around, took a bit for it to be made. Placed an order around 11:35 for lunch and gave up around 11:55 when i had to leave to be back at work on time. If yall dont wanna serve someone, yall can just say something instead of wasting someones lunch break.

Authentic food. This is the real deal. Being from Texas where they have large grocery stores dedicated to the Hispanic culture and cooking, this store and restaurant is a true diamond in East Tennessee for anyone who cooks and enjoys this style of culinary eats. The portions were very plentiful for the price and you never be upset about handmand tortillas. Plus they provide you three different salsas, chopped onion, and cilantro. Everyone is friendly, Very nice store, and excellent customer service.

The food was ok. The service was not great. Super sweet and helpful people, just not very attentive. It’s definitely more authentic Mexican so if that’s what you want then I’d recommend it. One thing I did not like at all were the chips. I loved the fruit drink they make but I can’t remember the name of it. The restaurant is part of the store, FYI. That didn’t bother us but it was a surprise.

Wow! Best burrito! Beans, guacamole, tomatoes, onion, lettuce, chili pepper. More than I can eat! Tastes very good.
Wow! Ordered a plate of food(beef, huge cooked green pepper, avocado, cheese stick, onions, rice, beans). Got it home and started eating it. Very good! Then, WHAT?, a green tongue?, no, a cactus petal with stickers removed. Wife said it tasted bland. I sweated for twenty minutes after finishing this meal after putting green salsa on it. Yes!

The store is very clean, well lit, and easy to shop. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed our lunch. We had the chicken chimichanga and the chicken Huarache. The food is delicious!

Food was great and better than expected. Waitress REFUSED to bring the tortillas that were supposed to come with my meal. I got the 3rd one from the bottom. Said she never bought them before.

You all make the best tamales this side of the Rio Grande! I would recommend you all to anyone and I plan to order more very soon! I ordered 10 beef, 10 chicken, 5 cheese and 5 pork. Didn’t get the pork which was okay because they replaced with 5 extra cheese. The cheese end up being the best!

We stopped into La Lupita for breakfast today. We ordered homemade guacamole and Huevos ala Mexicana. Tortillas are homemade and SO delicious! We also loved the home cooked beans that came with breakfast. I took off one star because we couldn’t find any water to purchase and because the Huevos ala Mexicana was 80 percent tomato and onion. Usually this dish is 80 percent egg and the remaining 20 percent onion, jalapeno, and tomato. Yeah, I’m a “gringa” but my Mexican boyfriend and I have been together for 11 years. I can whip up a mean Huevos Ala Mexicana myself. In all fairness the people working here were not Mexican so they might need more practice. 10 stars for the beans and tortillas. Customer service was good too
You can purchase imported items in the store. They had things like Japanese peanuts, to habanero sauce, to tortilla makers. See photo below. This Mexican store is the most expensive of all I’ve been to in Tennessee. You can find Mexican markets in Maryville, Sweetwater, Athens, Cleveland, and Knoxville with lower prices.
