For food, everything was great; this restaurant is a pescatarians dream. I ordered the tuna tartare, scallops, and fish tacos. All had complex flavors with great depth and subtle heat.
I’ll be back soon for Vino and Vinyl wine nights!
I thought the entrees were well priced for the portion size, quality, and taste ($6 for a taco on a freshly made tortilla is a great deal imo).
However, the appetizers and sides were criminally expensive for what you were getting – $16 for half an avocado worth of guacamole, $16 for a cobs worth of corn, $5 for a quarter cup of black beans… I’m not one to complain about prices but that was a little ridiculous
We started with the yellow fin tuna crudo, esquites, and the grilled oysters. The tuna was so fresh, and the esquites packed with flavor, I usually don’t even like oysters, but these were hands down the best I’ve ever had—the seasoning and spice set the bar so high.
For our main, we shared the bone-in New York steak with a side of broccolini. Both were cooked perfectly, and the sauces really took everything to the next level. We also enjoyed a few cocktails throughout the night, each one unique and delicious.
We finished with the Tres Leches Pastel de Mango with ube ice cream, which was surprisingly light and the perfect sweet ending to such a big meal.
La Lunita delivered on all fronts—food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. 10/10 recommend, and we’ll definitely be back soon!
We ordered the grilled oysters, since they were out of a couple of items already. We also got the octopus, and several other dishes. The cocktails were delicious and were presented well.
Other than that, our server was super nice and took care of us really well. Second time back here since they opened.
It’s good they have specials and happy hour because the price point is pretty high. But the food is excellent quality and really beautifully done. Great space, wonderful staff.
The steak taco special was extraordinary tasty. The broccolini, guacamole, and prawns were truly so so flavorful and delightful. The only thing we didn’t like was the aguachile negro which we thought really lacked depth in flavor, especially compared to everything else we were served. It was pretty bland.
Cocktails were solid, and they have an interesting wine list as well.
I’ll definitely be back again and look forward to trying more of the menu.
The mid: the oysters were left with muscle attached, so instead of grabbing the meat easily it was a little tough. They said heart shaped churros on instagram yet in person they said not available.
Our waitress was nice, but not attentive. She also wasnt very helpful when navigating the menu and left us looking for her three times, for a drink, for dessert and for the check.
