Redlands’ must-try for real Italian. La Luna is the kind of family-run spot where the details matter—from the warm, unpretentious welcome to plates that taste like they came straight from a Nonna’s kitchen. We started with arancini: perfectly golden shells that crackle into a creamy risotto centre, finished with a light dollop of aioli—simple and excellent. The mushroom ravioli was a standout: thin, delicate pasta with a generous mushroom filling, cloaked in a silky cream sauce that’s seasoned just right (rich without being heavy). And the pizza hits the wood-fired brief—leopard-spotted crust, light and chewy, topped with cherry tomatoes, rocket and cheese so you get sweetness, peppery bite and savoury depth in every slice.
What I love here is the balance: honest flavours, quality ingredients, and portions that satisfy without overdoing it. Service is friendly and attentive in that effortless, genuine way; the whole experience feels like a neighbourhood trattoria where regulars are known by name. There are choices for vegetarians too (the mushroom pasta and rocket pizza were winners at our table).
If you want high-quality, authentic Italian in the Redlands, this is it. Go for a relaxed dinner, share a pizza and pasta, and let the kitchen do what it does best. Highly recommended.
Tonight, we had the Pappardelle with Osso Buco and Conchiglioni Pasta Alla Calabrese. Both were incredible and highly recommended. So, so good! Look forward to coming back soon!
