Had our New Year’s Eve reservation made 3 weeks ago and they were overbooked by 45 people. Not even exaggerating, there were 45 people standing waiting for a table who all had reservations. La Luna Italian Bistro is located in Del Ray Beach, Fl. The atmosphere is very pleasant with very nice art work on the walls. The service was really good. We had chicken sorrentino which was excellent and it comes with a house salad and pasta. We had decaf cappuccino which was hot and delicious. I highly recommended this restaurant if you haven’t been.

Years ago, they had complete dinners, now it ids a la carte and much better.
We had hors oeuvres at our home so we skipped appetizers. Dinners come with a choice of soup or house salad. For entrees, my wife ordered the Chicken Sorrento which is a combination of chicken and eggplant parmigiana. She loved it, a huge portion and took home 1/2. I had a very good linguine with clams and shrimp.

We were a group of 18. Servers and food were very good. Many people requested slight changes and all were met with a willing and charming server. Would definitely recommend you visit if in the area.

Mediocre is the best way to describe this dining experience. Caesar salad was nothing to rave about, although I will concede the chicken was flavorful… and it better be for an additional charge of $11. No clue how to mess of garlic bread but this place succeeded. Stale bread and funky tasting garlic, also why was it orange? Mozzarella sticks were thicker than a telephone pole and probably harder too. As for the service, our waiter was very sweet, it was busy so I can look past the slow service. However the busboy stole our marinara sauce :/. Two more notes, actually three. One: change the lighting please, harsh fluorescent bright white lights are not welcoming and in fact, very off putting. Two: no mash potatoes? Really? When I ask for a side of potatoes with my chicken parm I didn’t expect home fries. Finally, three: I’ll let the picture speak for itself.

I would like to update this review. A year ago, the experience was fabulous, in 2023, the quality has decreased. The service was marginal, the food was not as good as the first time we were there and the drinks were awful. The bartender did not know and or have the supplies to make old fashions or appropriate martinis. If you simply want a easy mixed drink, it was okay. The lasagna this time around was smaller portioned, overcooked and almost burned. Other people in the group ordered seafood dishes that really didn’t taste very good and had like 4 shrimp in them. One person ordered chicken and got fish. Overall the service just wasnt there this time around. In 2022 the Food was delicious, served fresh and hot. Excellent menu options. I started with meatballs which are a great judge of an Italian restaurant, they were excellent! The salads were fresh and large! The bread was ok, question if it was homemade. I ordered lasagna for the entree and it did not disappoint! Nice ambiance, the place was recently remodeled. They offer beer, wine, and cocktails. Price is moderate. Overall, I give them an 8/10.

This restaurant was recommended to me, so I decided to check it out — and it truly exceeded my expectations. I was told there’s a new manager, and he was very kind and attentive. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and family-friendly. I loved it and will definitely be coming back.
