La Luna Italian Bistro is located in Del Ray Beach, Fl. The atmosphere is very pleasant with very nice art work on the walls. The service was really good. We had chicken sorrentino which was excellent and it comes with a house salad and pasta. We had decaf cappuccino which was hot and delicious. I highly recommended this restaurant if you haven’t been.

Unfortunately this place has fallen off a cliff in the last 6 months. We’ve been here at least 10 times since 2021. Initially it was pretty good. The waiters were a little quirky and the food was good (never great). When you caught the happy hour, it was a decent deal. But since the beginning of this year, the place has been terrible. We’ve been 3 times and 3 times of enough. Never going back. They raised prices on everything, reduced portion size, and cut wait staff. We had a meal where we literally never saw our waiter after we ordered. We had to track him down to get the bill. Track him down to pay. And track him down to finally get the receipt! Sadly, this place is off our list for good now.

This place was an absolute nightmare. If you’re looking for somewhere nice, this overpriced hole in the wall is the furthest from it. The manager was extremely rude to me simply because i was a walk in and hadn’t made a reservation in advance. Now I’m not one to be very judgmental of others but this guy smelt like he hasn’t washed in days and looked very unprofessional, and that’s not even about his language and tone of voice towards me. I brought my wife here for some Italian dinner as we were hoping for something fancy, but all we got were stares and strange and inappropriate quips towards my wife and I. I’m still extremely concerned as to what is going on in the back amongst the employees, as I heard comments I’m too disgusted to repeat. I am horrified with my experience here, the food was a generous 3/10. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana and it came out as this disgusting rotten flesh piece with cheese draped across it. The soup was probably many days old and the salads were dry and stale. Would I come here again? No, not even if it was a last resort. Go anywhere else if you want to head home full and pleased.

I would like to update this review. A year ago, the experience was fabulous, in 2023, the quality has decreased. The service was marginal, the food was not as good as the first time we were there and the drinks were awful. The bartender did not know and or have the supplies to make old fashions or appropriate martinis. If you simply want a easy mixed drink, it was okay. The lasagna this time around was smaller portioned, overcooked and almost burned. Other people in the group ordered seafood dishes that really didn’t taste very good and had like 4 shrimp in them. One person ordered chicken and got fish. Overall the service just wasnt there this time around. In 2022 the Food was delicious, served fresh and hot. Excellent menu options. I started with meatballs which are a great judge of an Italian restaurant, they were excellent! The salads were fresh and large! The bread was ok, question if it was homemade. I ordered lasagna for the entree and it did not disappoint! Nice ambiance, the place was recently remodeled. They offer beer, wine, and cocktails. Price is moderate. Overall, I give them an 8/10.

After being a regular customer for around 10 years, we recently had a rude awakening from their new manager/partner. What a rude uncaring man. We had a 5.15 reservation- as we always have done, for their early bird special. We arrived at 5.17, joined our friends who had arrived a few minutes earlier. We ordered our usual, salmon with mixed steamed vegetables and lentil soup, which arrived ice cold ! The early bird special comes with soup or salad and a desert.

Four of us came in to La Luna, located in Boca, because we heard so much about this restaurant. The food was outstanding as we were told, and we were asked to have Jamie be our server. Our friends were so right, he was extremely attentive, a personality that was over the top very friendly and his service was impeccable. We definitely will be going back to La Luna for the food and only want Jamie to take care of us. He definitely made our evening.

Well I’ve been here once before and loved it. We’re from out of town and visting my mother in law. Decided to visit again. Wow what a difference. The food is expensive and only decent at best in my opinion. However it was the service that I didn’t enjoy that really made this an unpleasant visit. In fairness to our waiter he must be use to dealing with overbearing elderly customers.I suppose that’s why he was more obnoxious than just about any server I’ve ever had. I could go on and on but I won’t. Suffice it to say I won’t ever return.
