While searching for Birria tacos, I remembered La Loteria was a place I always wanted to try after seeing the classic style diner years ago. I pulled up, and the parking lot was pretty empty as it always is whenever I’ve passed by in the past. I walked in and saw a familiar face, so I expected the food to be at least good at that point. I glanced over the menu and decided to go with the Quesabirria plate. I had a short wait time for my food, so while waiting, I took in the classic feel of the diner. It felt like I was sitting in the diner scene from Back to the Future. The line cook started on my order and took no time. I got my order to go, seeing as it was the NFL playoffs were on at that time. I got home and opened my plate and noticed my quesabirria tacos looked more like regular tacos. The onions were cut to big, the plate didn’t come with consume, and the sauce cups barely had any sauce. My food didn’t look anything like the plate pictured on google. I was disappointed at what I was looking at, but once I actually tasted them, they were surprisingly really good. The side cup of beans that came with the order had a ton of flavor! I was pleased with how good everything was, but I was disappointed in the presentation. The customer service was great, as well as the atmosphere. The place did look like it could use a really good deep cleaning, but with that being said, I do plan to return and give the breakfast a try.

Food was very good, fresh and hot. We ordered the quesabirria tacos, omelette, breakfast sandwich and chicken tacos. It’s a very small diner so we weren’t sure what to expect but we will definitely be returning!

My husband and I stopped by for brunch to try out this diner he found! I had gotten the breakfast tacos and my husband had gotten an omelette – we enjoyed it so much! The food was amazing and I was surprised at the low prices! The two people behind the counter were super friendly and attentive. Everything is kept so clean as well. They even have an outdoor seating area which is set up really nicely. We will definitely be coming back here! 🙂

Went here after going to the gym, Ihop and other diners were pretty busy since its Veterans Weekend. Don’t regret it one bit. The owner and the waitress were so sweet and welcoming since we entered and the food was delicious!. Its a starting business, but we loved the food and it was more than enough to get you full. Will definitley come back again! We pray your business keeps growing and being succesful. (BTW the cucumber lemonade was AMAZING and 100% natural)

This was my first time visiting this diner & will definitely be back. The outside absolutely holds true to being a diner. Loved that I got to sit on old-fashioned stools & watch them cook. The staff was nice & helpful.

Wow! I am so glad the egg place was full; we would have never stumbled into this place on. Sunday morning. 60s music from the big screen, the employees busting eggs and burgers on a grill and in synch with each other. There are a 2 tables, and the 11 seats for counter seating. My breakfast was amazing! The place is on a side street so definitely make a stop and meet the folks and grab some chow.

I do not know about y’all but I dislike eating breakfast in Killeen on the weekend because every where we go is packed. I looked up breakfast spots to see if there was anywhere I had not been and found La Loteria Diner & Parlay. The omelet was a 10. It is the omelet I have ever had locally. It didn’t need any salt and pepper. It was perfect. I had French toast that isn’t pictured because I ate that stuff up so fast. My kiddo loved the pancake plate as well. There is no wait time and they are also on Grubhub. If you are sick of waiting in lines for mediocre breakfast you could’ve made at home I suggest you give this place a try. They are very quiet people but you food will do all of the talking you need.

Almost drove away but decided to stay & thank God they have 1 table for 4. Service was fast but food is made fresh so took a little.

2. French toast – pretty & good
3. Bfast sandwich – good & soft
4. Huevos rancheros – ok, sauce is sour (new to us) no thank you
5. Coffee – weird taste, maybe too much water ♀️
6. Hamburger – real good! Fries were hot!!

We found this place by a mistake and so glad we did. The food was just like a homemade meal. The staff was super friendly. Erick showed us the back patio area which was super nice as well. I don’t remember the gentleman’s name on the grill but he was super friendly as well. We will definitely be going back.

My only complaint is don’t bring out the plates seperate. My food was cold by the time my husband got his food. And with 3 guys in the kitchen, that shouldn’t have happened. Not busy at all.
