Our family is back in Capitol Park where it all began in 1956. Featuring a brick oven pizza, full bar, beer and wine. We have a 12 seat marble bar, casual yet trendy dining. Located on the first floor of the Albert building, the new La Lanterna will debut with daily dinner service and a menu of Neapolitan-style brick oven pizzas, salads, paninis, pastas and other classic Italian entrees. A full bar, anchored by a selection of affordable wines from California and Italy, will also be available.
Urbane spot for housemade pastas & Neapolitan-style pizzas, plus wine & craft beers.

The La Lanterna Chop Salad was quite delicious and the Spaghetti Con Frutti Di Mare was one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. But, my goodness, this restaurant is LOUD and on the night we were there the waitstaff seemed short-staffed and overwhelmed. Definitely go if you’re okay with a noisy atmosphere – the food is divine.

The food was great! We had the gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta. The pasta was my favorite! Some feedback: we stood at the front for about 10 mins and the servers walked past us numerous times without acknowledging us. I finally asked if we were going to be helped or if it’s open seating, she responds “hmm not sure where the host went” then a few mins later the host shows up. Regardless, if there is a host or not, someone should at least greet us at the door and say someone will help us momentarily. Other than that the service was wonderful and the food came fast!

La Lanterna is one of our go to places for a great meal, wonderful atmosphere, and amazing drinks. Pizza, Pasta, Calamari, and did I mention cocktails. Yno and everyone at La Lanterna goes out of their way to make you smile, relax, and enjoy every minute of your time there. Back to the excellent adult beverages. From his signature Dominican Old Fashioned to the magical gin concoctions he stirs up for my wife, Yno always seems to know exactly what to make for his guests. Awesome bartender and an all around great person. Go as soon as you can. Just don’t take our seats at the bar!

Got seated really fast, had to wait a while for the food because it was busy that day, but it was so worth it. The waitress was super kind and knowledgeable about Italian food and checked up on us frequently despite how busy it was. The area is super nice, so if you get a chance, ask to be seated outside!
