A neighbourhood restaurant that you would be lucky to have at home. Serves a short menu of French bistro-style dishes, plus sandwich-based alternatives. Elegantly decor with a lovely tree inside the bar.

Short menu of regularly changing specials (crevettes, fresh fish, steak / zebu tartare, soup, quiche) plus a longer menu of staples including sandwiches and burgers for lighter snacks. I had a club sandwich which was delicious. The coffee is good too. I ordered frites which didn’t arrive but that was good as it meant I had room for dessert. Really good range of non-alcoholic drinks too, with a buzzy vibe in the main dining area and a more intimate setting in the bar area.

We came in last week and enjoyed our first meal here in Senegal. Very friendly staff, we arrived on motorbikes and they made us aware to be careful leaving them in the street so allowed us to sit where we can watch them. The food was amazing, my partner said it was the best burger he had ever had. The beer was served in a nice cold glass and the service was perfect. We would definitely return!

By far the best restaurant in St. Louis – it doesn’t even compare. After struggling to find a good place to dine, discovering La Kora felt like finding an oasis. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere and design were thoughtfully curated down to the smallest details. Truly a highlight.

Delicious vegetarian burger with chips (shared with mum, and they very kindly cut it in half/put it on two plates for us to serve – super helpful!) Very tasty. Helpful staff. Yummy tea, and juice. Gorgeous little yard with beautiful tree in it.

La Kora is a beautiful restaurant with great food. It’s on the pricey side for Saint-Louis, but still very reasonable for most tourists. Ambiance is lovely. Great chicken burger, great apple goat cheese sandwich. And the grapefruit crème is delicious.

The atmosphere is great, the staff were very friendly and the menu was very appealing. The staff were also helpful and attentive. My friend and I both had fish carpaccio and steak tartare. Perhaps risky choices being both raw.
Although they were delicious, unfortunately we have both been sick for the following few days. I am sorry to report as the restaurant is lovely, but I can be sure as this is the only time we ate the same meal, and we both had the textbook symptoms of food poisoning which started within 30 minutes of each other the following day.
I definitely recommend visiting, but maybe steer clear of raw meat/fish items.
