Food was amazing, very flavorful, authentic and generous portions. Service was fantastic as well, Seline was super inviting from the moment I walked in the door I felt taken care of. She even welcomed me back with a hug on my second visit! I saw her do the same to returning customers, she makes you feel like family. La Kausa easily turned into a new neighborhood favorite for me.

So thrilled to have found such delicious, fresh and authentic Peruvian ceviche and parihuela soup here! Delicious and fresh food and great portion sizes. The staff mostly speaks Spanish. You come here for the food not the ambience. The restaurant feels like a popular local joint and the ambience needs to be updated a little. Overall I would return here for the Peruvian fold.

Hands down the best Peruvian restaurant I’ve ever been to! Everything was delicious, but the leche de tigre was absolutely to die for!!! It is fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and bursting with that citrusy kick that keeps you coming back for more. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients and put real love into every dish!!!
The service was friendly and attentive. Whether you’re craving authentic Peruvian flavors or trying something new, this place is a must! ✨

La Kausa in North Bergen is hands down my favorite Peruvian spot!
The food is always fresh and packed with authentic flavor. The prices are great, the portions are generous, and the Leche de Tigre is an absolute must — I always order one to go because it’s that good.
It’s so worth the 45-minute drive every single time. I usually stock up on all my favorites to enjoy at home. My kids are obsessed with the chaufa, and my husband never leaves without his papa mayo.
If you love Peruvian food (or just amazing food in general), La Kausa is the real deal.
P.S. the staff is amazing!

LOVED IT! I ordered the ceviche de pescado and lomo
Saltado and my husband ordered the papa a la huancaina and arroz chaufa. Large portions and delicious food. The service was great and staff was welcoming. We ended it with helado de lucuma. Perfect. Can’t wait to be back.

if this is your first time eating Peruvian food, you have to go here and order the Lomo Saltado (beef stir fry), Ceviche (available in different spice levels and different seafood options), a Chaufa (stir fried rice), and a Causa (potato based appetizer). Any of these options Are great for someone who doesn’t know the cuisine and will blow your mind with how delicious it is. Peruvian food is some of the best in the world and this restaurant is a solid 5 stars great place to try it.
